Anyone who had an inkling who the Russians were would understand this as a disaster. The Ukes are not Afghans. That would have been the only rational outcome.
Is this a serious setback for the Ukes? Is Russia advancing and at greater speed Westward?
I appears the US and other NATO countries have limited out at what they are giving the Ukes and still imposing restrictions on the use of certain weapons that don’t allow the Ukes to take the fight to Russia.
Any prospects for the UKE situation improving for them or is it another Biden Harris calamity playing out in real time here?

First, Do realize Ivan has recaptured ALL the territory the Ukies “ gained” in their infamous failed summer offensive.
Ugledar is in southern Donbass, Vlad unable to capture it since early on- a stronghold…..now fallen….think Mariupol, Bakmut, Avdivka,….
This move now effectively opens a fourth major front, and if done well, will collapse the Ukie’s front, putting the Ukies in many “ Cauldrons”. I call them Boiling Cauldrons, annihilated by Vlads artillery hammer.
Vlads intial stated goal of liberating the ethnic Russian Donbass is 95 percent complete.
This seems to be one of the few reliable sources of information on this war.
Mr. Z can not lose. Every tank abandoned at the first hint of action can be replaced with a mere phone call—for free! The Ukrainians could loose every tank, truck and car and the whole thing will be recovered with brand new ones from the USA and NATO. Even people can be replaced with NATO volunteers and Mercenaries paid for by USA. The bucks always wins—until they don’t. The war will last until we in the west realize we are being played like suckers. Russia (with Chinese help) can fight for twenty years. We have a new Vietnam war in the making.

The Donbass was the MOST fortified region in current military history. The US/ Ukraine started arming up and fortifying it in 2014, yes, 2014, premeditated by Nuland, McCain, DOS, and the likes.
….seems it is not working out as planned. Make no mistake, Vlad will keep Crimea and Russian provinces, at all costs.
The collective West’s Project Ukraine is failing, as it should.
