we all had guns at this age and younger when I was growing up in the 60’s-70’s, we were NOT shooting each other!
Another one “on the FBI’s radar”.
Well, this one will not go away until after the election. The media will not round file this one. I am curious though because I saw an article last night which depicted Mason as the murderer, Colt Gray. I know it because as soon as I saw it I told my wife, “well, this story will be dumped in three days.” Somone is going to get sued over that.
Me too...................
Don’t be so sure. It shows how inept our agencies are.
We already know more about him than Trump’s assassin.
Apparently a broken home.
Can confirm the 60's-70's experience. Well...except for the occasional BB gun shootout...
+1
Need to reopen the mental hospitals closed in the 1970s.
A teen making such statements back in the 1950s or ‘60s would have been locked up for “Observation” before they could go on their rampage.
If you look earlier than the 1970s you will see very few mass shootings even though semi-auto firearms have been around since 1903. That is 121 years ago.
I can think of three off hand...
Howard Unruh, in New Jersey using a Luger pistol.
Richard Speck killed 8 student nurses. No guns involved.
Charles Whitman, in the Texas Tower using a bolt action hunting rifle.
Carried my rifle through the school because the range was in the basement.
Product of this age.
Yesterday’s Larry Mondello becomes today’s mass shooter.
He is a product of clueless parenting and an information age where the messaging makes no distinction between good and evil.
Same. Over the fireplaces, next to the beds, sometimes on the school bus...we raised hell, but not when we had our rifles. And shooting people wasn't even a thought.
I guess there are a couple of historical incidents, but kids were a lot more normal back then.
I wonder if the sick little jerk will be grinning like that if he gets sentence to life in prison with no chance for parole?
Quite a picture. It could just as well be of a slightly overweight 14-year-old girl. Any trans problems here??
There is no such thing as life without parole. At some point they will all be released because the gravity of the crime diminishes over many years. They all get a chance at freedom, despite the fact their victims never do. Just look at the Manson crew.
But then, "we" didn't spend our formative years and literally all of our pre-adult lives living in and trying to understand an emotional nightmare of an environment, as seems the likely case of this 14 year old.
Add to that what could have been an equally difficult time in what may have been for him an abusive school environment, i.e., substantially everything else in his life.
The kid was suffering, full of fight and had nowhere else to go.
There is a lot to be said about enforcing drug laws and providing well supervised schools. - but the Left will seize this chaotic circumstance solely for its anti-gun value.
Looks kinda like Danny Bonaduce from the Partridge Family 60’s TV show..........
“But we must do SOMEthing!” liberal/dems/commies always say immediately after these events.
How about we try this?: a total media blackout of the event. We know that copycat killings often ensue. So, if there is absolutely no news on the event there will be no copycats (at least outside the immediate area).
You might think this won’t work . . . BUT we have to try SOMEthing. If it saves just one life, it’s worth it. 1st amendment problems? The Constitution never anticipated anything but paper and ink handouts. Besides, it’s only a “slight intrusion” on the 1st Amendment.
