Patrons at a northern Virginia restaurant specializing in Vietnamese cuisine broke out in raucous cheers to greet former President Donald Trump on Monday, according to reports.
The 45th president visited the Truong Tien Vietnamese Restaurant in Falls Church, Virginia, with Hung Cao, a U.S. Senate candidate in Virginia. Cao, a Naval Academy graduate and combat veteran, is running to unseat incumbent Democrat Sen. Tim Kaine.
Earlier in the day, Cao had accompanied Trump when the 45th president laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. The wreath was a tribute to the 13 service members who lost their lives in a suicide bomb attack at Abbey Gate in Kabul, Afghanistan, during the chaotic withdrawal of American forces under Biden’s administration, the Western Journal reported.

PHO METAL JACKET!
Considering that the democrats defunded the South Vietnamese in an effort led by Ted Kennedy, I think the Vietnamese people should support Trump.
“Explodes” is a misapplied puffery. Please avoid even unintentional violence in headlines, especially with Trump.
👏
It doesn’t explain the Vietnamese Americans who run for office as democrats like chickens for KFC.
Well, it is the exact title at the source article.
Cao is the real deal. Very well spoken and very pro-American.
Trump commented about him: “I love his name — Hung Cao. I love that name. And that name alone should get you elected, right?”
You have a point. A few years ago there was this Vietnamese American politician, I think from Virginia, that was a democrat running for office. She boasted that her dad escaped the communists in a small boat.
This floored me. If her dad escaped the communists, then why is she one herself?
I kinda think money talks and knows no language barriers.
I watched his campaign commercial earlier this week. It is outstanding!! I strongly encourage everybody to watch it. You will see why President Trump supports and endorses him.

Totally agree. Now here’s what worries me. I know a bit about suburban Pennsylvania. Back in 2022 there were more Fetterman (D) signs out than Oz (R) signs. Fetterman won Pennsylvania. I was not surprised.
Now let’s go back to 2020. There were more Trump signs out than Biden signs. But Biden won Pennsylvania. I was very surprised.
So surprised that I changed my FR tagline.
“...that’s why I get so mad when some moron has a Kamala Hairyass sign in their yard.”
A bit of good news. I split time between Silicon Valley and North Idaho (two polar opposites politically). I just spent over four months in Silicon Valley and did not see ONE Harris/Walz yard sign nor did I seen ONE Harris/Walz bumper sticker while I was there. But I still see a fair number of Obama 2008 bumper stickers!
On Tuesday afternoon, I started driving from Silicon Valley to Idaho. It took me about two hours to get out of the Bay Area and I did not see a single Harris/Walz bumper sticker on the thousands of cars I passed.
By the time I got off I-80 and onto I-505 (the cut-off to get to I-5 north), the farming and ranch land started, so I began seeing “Trump” signs along the freeway. I spotted quite a few more “Trump” signs in Northern California AND throughout Oregon along US-97.
About 950 miles of driving and almost 17 hours on the road through CA, OR, WA, and ID and I did not see ANYTHING supporting Harris/Walz. I stopped in Bend, OR for a one-hour rest break and also saw NO Harris/Walz signs.
I had my eyes peeled for them on the entire trip, too.
I’ve never seen (or not seen) anything like that during a major election cycle.
Hahahaha...”Pho Metal Jacket”...I wish. I presume that isn’t really the name, but...darn well should be!
I grew up in Falls Church when it was an obscure country town on the outer edge of suburbia. Then they surrounded it with a loop and it became one of the top ten richest places in the country.
Trump would have the same response at Mr. Phở here It is an upscale Vietnamese restaurant that has become very popular in the Việt Kiếu community. Same if he came to the parish hall at Thánh Phê rô Catholic church after mass or at a gathering at the local Buddhist Community Center now monastery.
They are like the non-Mariel Cubans. They see what the Democrats want to do. The attitude is ‘Been there. Done that. Don’t want to do it again.’
Wait - whut?
They didn’t clear out all the customers before Trump went in?
Because they know that most Middle Class folks love him....
