Search giant Google struck a deal with the state of California to provide over a hundred million dollars in funding to local newsrooms head of the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
The company, known for its e leftist bias and close ties to the Democratic Party, will direct around $110 million to local newsrooms.

Exactly why I won’t use anything Google. Google tracks your every move when you use Google search. I’ve switched to Duck Duck Go because they don’t track you. Read you gmail contract. Google not only has the right to read your private email, it can sell its content to whomever it chooses. In turn, it uses its income to buy influence in the media. No, I’m done with anything Google.
Every search I conduct nets me ONLY information from CNN, PBS, Yahoo, MSNBC, etc. Where are the conservative or at least reliable news outlets? And I’m using Brave, not Google. I have to go through quite a few pages until I hit one, ONE article by a reliable conservative webpage. That cannot be random.

California is the HQ for the entertainment industry and that’s all the “news media “ is for the most part. That and propaganda are just what they control. This smacks of a money laundering operation to make sure the “proper narrative” is promoted. More subtle than 2020.

Google’s search engine has become completely unusable. It was always evil, but at least it worked, and if you ignored the obvious leftist sources it usually pushed at you toward the top of the results, you could still find what you were looking for. Now, it doesn’t even give you anything responsive to your query at all most of the time. And the election-related manipulation going on is more blatant than I’ve ever seen. Try searching for anything related to Trump or Republicans and you will ONLY, with NO exceptions, get a list of leftist propaganda from leftist media sources. They’ve always done that, but it was more subtle in the past. It’s so blatant this time around they’re virtually begging to be sanctioned for it.
The DOJ should file a lawsuit before the sun sets. It won't.

Yes it’s considerably worse than even a few years ago.
Not too long ago I did a search for “hate crimes committed by black people” and got almost entirely results on white supremacy hate crimes.
As a side note just last week I asked Alexa to play best hits of the late 50s and early 60s. After about the 5th straight song by black artists I asked her to play rock hits of the late 5os and early 6os with the same results. I tried something else and finally asked her why she was only playing songs by black artists. She replied I would have to go to the “help section” to find out.
I know It’s not all about race/color but I think it shows how modern social media sites have geared up their algorithms nearly entirely for biased woke , DEI results on any sort of search program.

This has been going on for years, and explains why your local paper and stations are so left wing. Not just Google, but Pro Publica and others. Unaccountable foundations controlled by leftists make local media unaccountable to their local audiences.
