Ken Silva, Headline USA) Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Christopher L. Paris testified before the House Homeland Security Committee on Tuesday about the July 13 assassination attempt against presidential frontrunner Donald Trump.
Unlike the now-former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle—who resigned Tuesday after refusing to answer a bevy of basic questions the day before—Paris’s testimony revealed new info about what happened leading up to the shooting at the Butler, Pa., Trump rally.
One of the more shocking revelations from Paris’s testimony was his claim that Butler County Emergency Services Unit counter snipers were stationed with a view from the rooftop where alleged shooter Thomas Crooks fired at Trump.
Those counter snipers were pulled from their positions to search for Crooks after identifying him as a suspicious person around 5:14 p.m., according to Paris. The shooting occurred at 6:11 p.m. It’s not clear exactly when the snipers left their post.

I just read the opposite somewhere yesterday in another article.
It said, when a suspicious person is spotted, all agents remain at their posts, instead of searching for the person.
Because that person might be trying to draw them away from their posts.

or were the snipers on another building with view OF the rooftop Thomas was soon up on?

The deep state decides to get BOTH Trump and Biden out of the race. Biden is just getting too unreliable and senile and might accidently say something he shouldn't about their plans, and Trump has always been a huge threat to them. The gullible young man they contacted online and trained was supposed to "take care" of Trump on Saturday but failed, what should have been an easy shot. But the Biden plan worked well enough, just slip him something to simulate a health scare, and he drops out the race, maybe hangs on for a month or two before dying "of natural causes".
Problem is that the deep state finds themselves only halfway to their goal. So, do they throw everything behind Kamala and just hope for the best or take another crack at Trump?

So, they shouldn't have been pulled from their post.
Makes sense. Think of all the poorly written movie plots where the heroes create a distraction and the dumb-as-rocks bad guys scamper off in pursuit of a decoy, clearing the path for the heroes to waltz in.
A congressman took video from the room they were in. The police could see the entire backside of the roof the shooter was climbing on.
They could have shot the gunman had they not been called away.

That article also says a mobile response team is supposed to chase down anything suspicious.
So, everyone assigned to a post should have stayed put, while another team’s job should have been to follow Crooks and anyone else suspicious.
A better explanation: Hanlon’s Razor - “never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.” In other words, rather than questioning people’s intentions, question their competence.

They were posted on the second floor of the building at the window looking right out on the Crooks’ rooftop. Obviously, if they hadn’t left their post, Crooks would never have been able to assume his shooting position. Is this just another ‘unfortunate’ security circumstance or something more sinister?
Unfortunately so many (not you) throw around language that confuses the reader. The writer said: “One of the more shocking revelations from Paris’s testimony was his claim that Butler County Emergency Services Unit counter snipers were stationed with a view from the rooftop where alleged shooter Thomas Crooks fired at Trump.” Obviously, the writer should have used the word “of” rather than “from.” In doing so he only confuses the readers. Is the writer just sloppy or is there something else going on?
