Butler County Sheriffs did not wear body cameras according to Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton.
Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch immediately got to work investigating the Secret Service’s failures and security breaches surrounding the attempted assassination against President Trump.
Tom Fitton said Judicial Watch filed multiple FOIA requests on state, federal and local level.
“The Butler County Sheriff’s Department told us that responding officers and those there did not have body cam footage,” Tom Fitton said.

you would think they would want evidence of them being at a trump rally with the next president of the US
Gee, that’s rather odd.....................
They also didn’t have fountain their pissstolaas
Exactly!
Being on a detail to protect the former president of the United States but they all left their body cameras at home.
Not one thing went right, normal,by the book or can easily be explained rationally. WTF is that loser Cheatle strutting around the RNC Convention! Why would she be welcomed? At the very least she has some things to work on at headquarters.
What a coincidence.
Well, they were on traffic control duty.
They were chosen to be on a detail to protect the former president of the United States, the most threatened president in United States history but they all decided to leave their body cameras at home.
Those were the town guys. Not sure if the county sheriff guys even use body cams. I know in MA country sherrifs don’t do a lot of “public event” stuff.
I know it varies from State to State. But the Butler PD, all 7 of them, were directing traffic.
I’m surprised they didn’t ban all cell phones and cameras from the event. There is so much we wouldn’t know if there hadn’t been attendees constantly recording the President and the area.
Apparently, they didn’t want any of the local LEO’s activities and interactions recorded.
Before we pile on the local Sheriff, were the SS wearing body cams? They guard POTUS all the time, so if anyone should have them, they should more so than their hired temps.
Body cams are more and more common these days, but I dont think all departments have them yet. County budgets for Sheriff’s offices vary. These cams are expensive, not so much for the camera, but because the good ones have cell communications so that the recordings are not just on an SD card, but are constantly wired back to a server, which also costs big bucks.
Now if body cams are the norm for Butler county, then there is a big question mark why the officers didnt have them. Were they plain clothes that day or in uniform?
My conclusion: The security was run by the same security people who were working the jail the day Epstein didnt kill himself but every one was looking the other way, not at their posts, sleeping, or otherwise not doing their jobs and all the cameras mysteriously turned off at just the right moment. It takes real skill to appear that incompetent, has to be the same people.
Surprised, but they have said they were only supposed to be providing traffic support and not security, so we’ll see where that ends up going.
Bigfoot investigation teams out-do our “News Reporters”.
There have to be 100 videos taken by rally attendees that will verify or refute this. look at them. guy says he didn’t have a body cam and he is on video wearing one, that would be a problem
Yes, and they assumed a safe, law-abiding crowd. No reason to wear a camera.
Would it be appropriate to use those words if the feds confiscated everything of that type that they might have had earlier from the event?
That would, of course, change most people's understanding. Surely the Butler County Sheriff's Department usually wear bodycams, right? If not this time, what was the decision-making chain of command that kept them from doing so? IOW, who told them not to?
