Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, says Saturday night’s shooting at President Donald Trump’s rally, is a “catastrophic failure” of the Secret Service.
“This is an obviously catastrophic failure and NO excuses should be made, or even attempted,” Bongino posted on X. “The failures are profound and questions must be answered about ground surveillance, air surveillance, post-stander support, and counter-sniper advance work and response. We have ONE job, and we came within inches of a deadly failure today. An uneventful failure is NOT a success.”
Bongino also said he was in touch with other former Secret Service colleagues.

A failure on purpose or accident?
Maybe I am no security expert, but it seems to me, if the Boy Scouts were in charge of security, they would have someone on the roof of every building within rifle range of Donald Trump.
I don’t believe the word “catastrophic” is strong enough.

Surprised we don’t use cheap drones for additional aerial surveillance. They would at least have a deterrent effect.

Quite honestly, what fair minded person can believe _anything_ the agencies (SS, FBI, CIA, NSA, et.al.) would have to say about anything regarding this assassination attempt?
If they said water was wet I’d have to check for myself.
Numerous rally attendees observed the shooter, for minutes and alerted SS and LE, to no avail.

No one shorter than him should be on the detail.
Anti snipers had the shooter in their sites before he fired. Sniper fired 4-5 shots and 2 seconds lapsed before he was put down. There was no instantaneous reaction.
Sniper was given opportunity to complete his mission before he was stopped.
God kept Trump alive, not the secret service.
I saw someone post on X saying he was the sniper that took him out. If it’s true then he said he had him in his sights for 3 minutes and was not allowed to engage. And took the shot after the burst to stop him and was told to not take that shot. He was arrested and questioned by FBI for over a hour. Almost lost his job. If this was true then something stinks. Not just an epic fail but even worse.
How did the assassin know the best sniper perch was unguarded?
Why was he allowed to shoot minutes after he was pointed out by spectators?
The government sniper on the opposite rooftop had a clear view through a telescopic lens and let the assassin get off several shots.
The Secret Service is not THAT incompetent.
The most logical answer is that the Secret Service let this happen.

I agree. Guy said his name is Jonathan Willis. He says he is the sniper. We will see. But I don’t think he would be talking. Was posted on 4chan.
I read the roof snipers who had this guy targeted were local cops whose engagement rules say they cannot shoot until a shot is fired.
That might explain things - if true.
And means that it was local cops who took the sniper out - not SS.
If that is true, then the superior who told him not to take the shot needs to be charged with Treason.
The day after McCain became the official candidate in 2008 there was a rally in Cedarberg, WI. I was there, and there were guys on every roof top down the parade route.
Well I’ll be downtown Milwaukee tomorrow to see what’s going on.

The United States of America was lost to foreign interests in a Successful Coup that was orchestrated by "them" .
I would not doubt for a minute that the "Them" was behind this one, in fact they are indirectly responsible because the "Them" and their puppets are the ones stoking all the hate for Trump by feeding false info to CNN to assassinate Trump
WHY ? one reason Trump is America First.
it shouldn't take a genius to figure out who "Them" is, it has only three letters in the name
