I read the roof snipers who had this guy targeted were local cops whose engagement rules say they cannot shoot until a shot is fired.
That might explain things - if true.
And means that it was local cops who took the sniper out - not SS.
After the Vietnam War we had “Rules of Engagement” suddenly which meant our armed combatants had no autonomy any longer to shoot to kill. You had to go through a chain of military command up through civilian oversight electronically before being given authorization to engage any enemy with deadly force proactively. It appears this type of command and control may already have been ingrained into our various protective agencies over the intervening years, and we saw the results Saturday.
