Daines Warns of Senate Democrats' Plan for ‘Radical’ Power Grab Nuking Filibuster, Packing SCOTUS, Making D.C. and Puerto Rico States
Breitbart ^ | 5 July 2024 | MATTHEW BOYLE

National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) chairman Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) warned in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News last month that the Democrats have “radical” power-grabbing plans for the United States if they hold the majority in the upper chamber of Congress.

When asked what the plan is for Republicans to combat that potential by retaking the U.S. Senate majority, Daines — the man who leads the NRSC, the party committee charged with doing so — laid out how close the margins are in the chamber right now, but how very far apart the two parties are ideologically.

Ok, maybe the Democrats will do that, but my RINO votes against what I want 5% of the time, so what’s the difference between him and a Democrat?

Old news to us who follow these things, but it’s good to see a U.S. Senator calling it out (even if he is an obscure, low-profile Senator from Montana - I’d never heard of him).

Packing the SCOTUS can be done away with by a Constitutional amendment limiting the size of the court to nine.............

DemocRATS and their minions in the Press have Stinkem on them. And the American giant has woken up and the press is much afraid.

The stinkem has been so bad that the press and the dems can't smell it on them. But we know when the talk of someone replacing Biden they stink just as bad.

Puerto Rico. I never ceases to amaze me why independence is never considered. Statehood is always THEIR choice. What about ours? I would force independence on them. Think of the bombs that blew up the capitol decades ago. Independence would settle the 2 senators issue once and for all. Then they can try this crap on American Samoa.

I agree. We don’t need more dependent states.

All residential parts of DC need to be given to Delaware, and Puerto Rico, needs to be added to Florida.

IMO DC shouldn’t have ANY residents.

And that passes how? What two thirds vote in the states or senate?

While my RINO did vote against Packing the Supreme Court and Nuking the Filibuster, I simply cannot support him as he also voted raise my taxes by $10 a year and made an off-color remark about Trump at a comedy club, and those are things that I can NEVER forgive him for - therefore he doesn’t get my vote.

So, while I’ll help enable a Democrat victory here in Texas and likely destruction of the country, I will at least feel good about teaching that RINO a lesson!!!!

Does the filibuster apply to the vote to recognize new states? I have seen people online say it only takes 51% but have no idea if that is right or what. If that is the case, I think they would create new states first and then use the new state’s permanent dem senators to pack the court.

Puerto Rico. I never ceases to amaze me why independence is never considered.

I have always wondered this, too. Honestly, I can't think of thing that PR adds to our country. Let Trump trade PR to Denmark for Greenland.

It’s called nipping it in the bud. One can talk about their intentions all the way up til they’re in position to force it upon us. Hillarycare gave us the GOP congress. Didn’t stop them. We ended up with Obamacare 15 years later. FDR tried to stack the court. Didn’t work-still trying. Somehow we have to adopt their strategies under the guise of freedom-doable. Tax the rich? How about a ‘fair’ tax. Let them explain how it isn’t fair-puts them on defense.

Independence for Puerto Rico could start with calling for an independent Quebec. Think spillover by osmosis. The rest of the world follows and the excrement is disturbed. We then pull the rug out from whatever we can take from the left. It’s how they work so why can’t we?

Greenland-reopen the idea. Then there’s western Canada having more in common with the US. Give federal lands in the western US to the states. If Trump wins we’re on a roll. Squish them like a bug in ways their unwashed voters won’t notice. ‘Intellectuals’ will but who cares?

President Trump should threaten to pack the court. Watch how fast the rats condemn such a thought.

Add: making B 0bama the VP candidate, and after Biden resigns - the dictatorial “Democrat” flood gates open into a full blown, permanent dictatorship, where laws are made every day to fit the circumstance.
