Revealing poll asks whether ‘The government planned and executed the attacks’…
Revolver ^

... As of this publishing, the poll racked up nearly 3,000 votes, and clearly, a majority reckon the government had a significant hand in the 9/11 attacks. About 27 percent are convinced it was an “inside job,” while nearly 24 percent think the U.S. government knew about the upcoming attacks but chose to let them happen. Another 22 percent believe the attackers were intelligence assets gone rogue. That’s incredibly telling—and frankly, quite disturbing. It shows just how much trust in our government has plummeted, reaching depths many of us never imagined possible.

There’s still time to vote, so it’ll be interesting to see the final results...

the article is point to lack of trust. In fact, I never thought I would say i hate my govt.

But the above? you have 100 threats, one is real, how do you know which one. I would think they took the best action they could.

Intelligence is never black and white, human judgement is always needed to look for patterns, assess credibility, and determine how to responde to every “threat”. So in addition to this poll being nothing more than a survey of people’s trust in gov’t, I think it’s nearly certain that our intelligence community detected some signs that an attack was possible. Clearly they either missed or determined that whatever was known did not rise to the level of action that could have prevented 9/11. But I can’t fault them for that - the same thing probably happens every day.

I hate that I have been given reason even entertain this as a possibility. The Bush family is not as honorable as I once thought they were.

The biggest factor in the attack being successful, IMHO, was the wall Clinton put up preventing law enforcement from communicating with intelligence.

I was on the Intel side at the time, and there was lots of chatter from the people who dun it about flying planes into buildings, but it was all in the Philippines and Europe. Law enforcement had info about aircraft being used for something in the USA.

If Intel and law had been allowed to communicate, the connection likely would have been made.

no the US government didn’t have anything to do with the attacks, but a lot to do with the cover-up of who was responsible and/or knew

https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2019/07/22/trust-and-distrust-in-america/

from 2019

Democrats and Republicans think differently about trust, but both groups wish it would rise. Although supporters of the country’s two main political parties hold similar levels of personal trust, Democrats and those who lean Democratic are more likely than Republicans and Republican leaners to express worry about the state of trust in America. For example, Democratic partisans are more likely to say that trust in the federal government is shrinking (82% vs. 66%) and that low trust in the federal government makes it harder to solve many of the country’s problems (70% vs. 57%).

Republicans and those who lean Republican are more likely that Democrats and those who lean that way to mention government performance problems and corruption (31% vs. 24%). But Democrats are more likely to cite Trump’s performance as a contributor to problems related to trust in the federal government (24% vs. 3%).

One thought is to get more involved in local and state govet so we can trust that level.

Interesting.

Boy did Americans lose a lot of freedom as a result of this event.

The whole affair shook out to be one helluva win for the Govt.

I guess thats just how things go sometimes. Always winners and losers. Cookie crumbles and such.

But you know? If you started making a tally... buy the Govt. sure does win a lot. and the people sure do lose a lot.

You’d almost think someone was manipulating the cookie. If you were a conspiracy theorist. Which I am not.

I’m old enough to remember the day.

Public trust in our governments actions and statements began to decline after the JFK assassination.

Distrust and suspicion with every government action, statement or policy decision continues to grown with every incident or crisis.

“the US government didn’t have anything to do with the attacks”

We cannot know that for a fact because .gov and mass media have been very busy hiding evidence.

My presumption is that is you hide evidence you may well have been involved in some way in the crime.

The other problem is that the “government” is huge.

Obviously 99.9% of government employees/military were innocent.

The problem is the rest of them.

People are very prone to believing fantasies, if you don’t believe me, look how a large number believe that Democrats are benefactors of American society.

involvement in covering up all who were responsible is different than being involved to begin with.

Obviously many high-ranking Saudis were involved, but the US government had to keep that under wraps.

The hate-America leftist Jamie Gorelick was responsible for that ‘wall’ between FBI and CIA.

The notion that the Saudis were independent actors is highly debatable.

They had very close ties to the US Deep State.

Obviously the US Deep State is in no mood to disclose those.

You haven't learned any lessons have you? This part of Homeland security is stomping on Americans' necks. If we are to be free the DHS needs to be dismantled and the spooks put on trial.

Whenever there is a political crime the question to be asked is:

Who benefited?

Then we can begin to ask the question whether the perps were smart enough to figure out how they would benefit—and get it correct.

The US Deep State was the primary beneficiary of 9/11. It vastly increased their budgets and power over the population.

This could be a coincidence—but I think that unlikely.

This is sort of a BS article, based on a BS “poll” but it points to the bigger problem of lost souls that now lap up any anti-govt screed.

This isn’t a ‘poll’ in any randomly sampled, statistical way. Sean Davis, the editor of The Federalist, simply asked the interweb point-blank what they believed happened on 9/11.

Right away, you have a sampling bias - not just people who follow Davis on twitter but all the trolls and DNC Sturmabteilung and other losers. You prolly had 7 normal folks responding to the bait.

3,000 respondents is a nice pool of responses, but it’s a polluted poll.

The other element at play is that a bigly number of people have lost their “trust” in govt since 2020. However, these lost souls now lap up any anti-govt screed or “conservative” fake news etc. They run with this nonsense, to their own detriment and making conservatives look stoopid.

Slay News has taken the award for News Toilet from Gateway Pundit - yesterday a posted article claimed that “Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has launched a new project that seeks to introduce “maggot milk” into the food supply of the general public.” Except…that’s all BS;

Nonetheless, this tripe snagged 100+ replies.

i didnt think we were involved at first....still dont know for sure..

but many facts that have come out since... and with the behavior of .gov lately...well...doesnt look good.

my trust is gone.

this poll,, if not just fake agiprop propaganda , shows the enemy has succeeded in destroying our national cohesion and trust. .
