When Teens Descend on D.C. for School Trips They Snap Up Trump Merchandise

School trips to Washington, D.C., are a much-anticipated ritual for students nationwide. Hordes of teens flow through the nation’s capital throughout the year to visit the wide variety of museums and the key bodies of the republic the city has to offer.

Buying souvenirs commemorating the trip is another honored tradition, and local shops say the teens know what they want when they descend on the businesses-Trump merchandise.

The Washington Post reports:

Back at I Love DC Gifts, Khalid Ismail said the best-selling item is a cherry blossom sweatshirt that says “Good Vibes.” Even in June — months after the city’s famously fleeting flowers have come and gone and daily temperatures approach 90 degrees — the sweatshirt dominates. Ismail said he’s never seen anything bewitch customers so fervently, although Trump merch is a close second: T-shirts with his mug shot and visors with fake orange hair flowing out the top.

“We have no horse in the race, politically. Like, we don’t care, but man — people love him,” Ismail said. “Anything Trump-themed, anything with his name on it … people are buying it.”

Luke Wilbur has noticed the same. Wilbur, 56, used to own Washington DC Gift Shop on Pennsylvania Ave. The pandemic forced him to close, and now he runs DCgiftShop.com. Although he tries to stock an equal amount of Republican and Democrat items, Wilbur sells significantly more of the former.

The Gateway Pundit reported on the first poll of 2024, which shows President Trump’s lead over Joe Biden among Hispanics and young voters.

I'm not surprised by this because most of these visiting schools are from fly over country and still believe in God and country. The same goes for the busloads of seniors that descend on DC each year to visit the WWII memorial, Arlington Cemetery and the many monuments.

When I visited the District of Corruption in 2018 I bought a MAGA red Hoodie/sweatshirt, with “Make America Great Again” on the front of the shirt.

And then they smirk at Native Americans. Or so I’ve heard.

Why young male voters in deep blue Philadelphia like Trump: ‘Almost punk in a way’,

Gianni Matteo was born and raised in a family of Democrats in South Philadelphia, but the 20-year-old is a big Trump fan.

“The working class doesn’t really care about which foreign enemy we should be fighting in countries most Americans can’t even name,” Matteo said outside of a newly opened office for former President Donald Trump in Holmesburg on Tuesday. “They care about why I have to work two jobs this summer, why I have no money in my pocket to take my girlfriend on dates.”

“The biggest thing is, Trump is a rebel,” Matteo said. “Trump is almost punk in a way. He’s a rebel against the establishment — an establishment that doesn’t care about us.”

There was a post a little while ago about getting the youth to sign up for voter registration and the dims were discouraging that because they’re gonna be voting Trump this time around.

Seems these are teens and not "teens," aka "youths."

That’s the way the enemy within have slowly raised them.
Raised from 1st grade, now it’s birth if they make it at all.
That’s why they don’t want homeschooling for one.

Do the math.

Biden has 6% of the followers that Trump has.

Biden account opened from February to Jun 15.

Trump account opened from 2 weeks ago to Jun 15.

Things have really changed. We went on our senior trip in April 1954 and politics never entered our mind. We behaved like all kids in that era and went on the pre-arranged tours but did we really appreciate them at the young age of 17-18? Four of us left the group after dinner one night and walked to the ballpark to see the Washington Senators and Philadelphia Athletics play...THAT was the thrill of a life time (our short lives) - a big league baseball game.

The next morning at breakfast our chaperone (Ag teacher) was quite perturbed when we told him what we did...Not about going to a ballgame but that we walked through an unsavory part of town to get to the ballpark. There were two of us girls and we walked two of the guys to accompany us - they insisted we take a taxi back to the hotel as they weren’t comfortable. Have to say we were all farm kids and totally ignorant of big city ways...I don’t believe anyone ever told us not to depart from the group.

I still have the journal I kept of the trip - where we went, what we saw, boat ride on the Potomac one night....
