As reported earlier, a federal judge on Friday ordered the liquidation of Alex Jones’ personal assets.
Judge Christopher Lopez approved Alex Jones’ request to convert a Chapter 11 business reorganization bankruptcy to a Chapter 7 personal bankruptcy.
However, the judge on Friday afternoon dismissed the bankruptcy reorganization of Infowars and its parent company Free Speech Systems.
According to the AP, Alex Jones smiled after the judge tossed out his company bankruptcy. Jones is able to keep his company, his studio and all social media accounts

Now the State of Texas is going to try to shut him down.
Alex quoted John Paul Jones yesterday: “I have not begun to fight.”
But keeping it makes it an asset to be liquidated or turned over to pay his legal settlements and fines? I doubt the bankruptcy judge can exempt his business from those other courts.
This isn’t really as good news as its being spun to be.
The effect of the dismissal of the bankruptcy is to end the automatic stay of creditor collection efforts that a bankruptcy filing creates. That means corporate creditors are now free to resort to collection remedies available under state law. Such as having the sheriff or equivalent seize and sell assets to satisfy outstanding judgments.
His individual bankruptcy got converted from a Chapter 11 to a Chapter 7. That means there is now a bankruptcy trustee appointed whose job it will be to seize and liquidate his personal assets, so that they can be used to pay unsecured creditors.
Of course, like everyone else, he will be entitled to assert that some of his assets are exempt from being seized—including some amount of equity in his home, cars, tools, retirement accounts, etc.

Absolutely, especially that a judge exists who sees the scam imposed upon this man, for making a claim that was incorrect. we are entitled to be wrong. There was zero harm done to the the family members who had lost a loved one as a result of someone who had mental issues.

That’s what I’m thinking as well. He can’t hide his business from creditors. Seems like the Chapter 7 move simply opens everything up, within legal exemptions, to be seized and sold off or transferred to creditors. The court judgments aren’t exempted in Chapter 7, are they?

Jones did not just author fiction. He named real people. He claimed they were actors. He lied repeatedly about real people in a real situation.
As I understand it, this is what he was sued over. When you say real people were actors, and their children were not killed, in the face of innumerable documented facts, it is a matter of libel which you can be sued over.
As I understand it, Jones wasn't sued because of fictions. He was sued because he made false claims about real people.
What happened to A1?

No. Existing judgments continue to exist. If they are lien against real property, the lien remains. Otherwise, they are unsecured indebtedness.
