I guess the Ukraine could arrest more people to fill the prisons, and then recruit from the prisons - it might make them more willing compared with forcibly dragging men (15-70 years old) off the streets and sending them to fight. The men/boys would have to choose whether to live in prison or die in a field. Maybe offer prisoners widows benefits or money to their families? So prison, with no money going to your family, or conscription - which means death but your family is helped. NATO is either a chartered treaty organization or it is not. Which is it? IS Ukraine an approved, documented member of NATO? Is it even an officially approved and documented NATO Aspirant?
This is like NATO bombing the crap out of Libya and Syria in Ubama’s “Lead from Behind” campaign. Just because there may be talk in the back channels, under the table or whatever by one or more members does not charter adherence make. More phony war and pocket lining.
And maybe a real peace-treaty seeking contingent. A cease-fire in Ukraine is much more likely than a cease fire in Gaza.
How about they train the hundreds of thousands of Uke men of fighting age who are in neighboring countries?
