I hope the author enjoys the ability to coin these idiot cutesy phrases like “fatflation.” When I become king, such will earn you the death penalty

One place that does not appear to me to oversize the portions is Panera. When we travel, that is a good option because we know we will not be able to use a take home bag.

It's high time we addressed a growing concern in the restaurant industry: portion sizes and the rise of "Fat-flation." No, it's high time goofy totalitarian writers like this mind their own business.

I eat my leftovers and I am increasingly upset with overpriced meals and no leftovers. I avoid going back to those places.

When I eat out, it is often the only meal I eat that day. And I try to minimize the carbs. But if I want to eat 2300 calories of beef burrito, I will. And it will be HEALTHY for me to do so.
One can get away with a lot if on the One Meal A Day plan. If the author isn’t, it is his worry. Not mine.

It has been awhile since I ate out, but I always thought the portions served were small and wanted seconds. And no one would rationally call me over weight.
Then again he did describe half size as an option.

We’re going to Connor’s this weekend to celebrate our son’s Master’s degree and Mother’s day (a twofer).
I am ordering fillet mignon and lobster.
I will eat bloody well what I like. 🥳
These food nannies can KMA.

To level the playing field for restaurants, they could offer half-sized servings for a 40% discount. It is called the Children's or Senor Menu.
I just order the regular size and have it for lunch the next day. Nothing "languishes".

It'd common for both my wife and I to bring home leftovers; it makes the Biden prices a little easier to absorb. Depends on what the food is and which place it comes from; some meals warm up better than others.
There's a local chicken place I can make 3 meals out of. And the same with a local pizza place that makes a beef roll.

The US largely eradicated famine on earth.
We went from 1 in 6 starving in this country to the poor being obese.
The result is the two headed coin and we have tails.

Why do I feel like this came out of a focus group formed to figure out how to spin restaurants cutting back portion sizes?

The restaurant put too much food on your plate? Rejoice! Ask for a box, which they will happily supply, and take half of it home for lunch.
And kwitcherbitchin'!!!

The obesity crisis started when fed driven scientists started sounding the alarm that sunshine causes cancer and we should slather on sunscreen and hide inside (a later covid advise, as well). Take away our vitamin D and we become fat, sickly, and stupid...no matter how much or how little we eat.

Tell you what, John. You order what you want, eat it or don’t, I don’t care as long as I’m not paying for it. If you were my guest, I wouldn’t care even then.
As for me, what I order and whether I eat it is none of your damned business if I’m paying the bill.
