Report: Gov. Newsom Asks to Find Democrat Votes for Prop. 1

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) When Governor Gavin Newsom suddenly pulled the plug on Monday’s annual State of the State speech with no explanation, insiders and analysts were quick to assume the reason may be due to the extremely close vote on Proposition 1.

More than two weeks after the primary election, the race is still too close to call. As of today, Prop 1, Newsom’s $6.4 billion plan to help California’s homeless and addicts leads by 17,000 votes with 200,000 yet to be counted.

The tight race reportedly has Newsom’s group scrambling to find more “yes” votes to push it over the finish line.

A report published on the conservative site RedState.com indicates an email was sent to supporters over the weekend asking them “find the votes.”

KMJ’s Ray Appleton discussed the developments and its similarities to former President Trump’s “find the votes” call to Georgia election officials – which led to an impeachment.

Three things.

1. It's California. Of course they'll find the votes. The Proposition is leading by 17,000 votes so there is no way it can fail now.

2. "Find the votes." And no, the boy Governor won't be impeached.

3. If there are 200,000 votes left to be counted, and they suspect that the proposition will fail when the vote is final, then where are they going to find enough "yes" votes to guarantee passage?

It’s been 2 weeks since the election and over 200,000 votes have yet to be counted, that is worse than 3rd world, in a state where the world’s leading technology companies are located, somehow, they can’t find a way to count votes in a timely manner.

Maybe they should have a fee-program, where you pay $40 to have your vote counted on election day. Then $10 for two days after election. And a free count after that.

I just got the following NextDoor message...

“I am a volunteer trying to get the thousands of rejected defective Ballots for Prop 1 “cured”. This will provide residential care for the mentally ill in our county and reduce the homelessness we have today. Thousands were rejected because people either forgot to sign the envelope or their signature did not match the signature on file.I have a list of all the folks in this area (Morgan Hill) and I spent this morning visiting the addresses in order to deliver cure applications which the Registrar of voters has approved. I would be very happy to send applications to those who need them if you have been notified that your ballot was rejected for incorrect or no signature. The cure application is easy to follow and you can mail it , fax it or email it to the Registrar of voters and your ballot will be cured and counted. A perfect example of how leftist activists steal, I mean, cure elections.

So I am guessing that the ballot has already been opened and the volunteers check to see see if the voter votes Democrat and if the vote for Prop 1 was left blank. Then, the volunteer will take the ballot to the voter’s residence and encourage them to fill in the box. What do you think the chances are that if the volunteer sees that the voter votes Republican that the ballot will ever be handled again? What a system huh? Find the votes!

My bad. The actual ballot is not brought to the home of the voter. An application to “cure” the ballot is delivered to the voter.
