He's a leftist and a fraud in Trump country.
I know incumbents have a big advantage but +11 is ridiculous for what should be an endangered Democrat.
Does anyone expect the polls to narrow?
The Communist is under 50%. Moreno had two primary challengers. Give the polls a chance to settle. It will be close in the general, because DemocRATS cheat.
This was before the Trump rally for Moreno on Saturday, so that 11% lead for the RAT may have narrowed.
AP reporting Moreno up by 17% with 98% reporting.
The poll might be an outlier but it caught my eye!
The other ones on that website have him +4, etc.
That’s much better.
It cost too much money to rig it for 2016 and 2020.
They need this senate seat.
Thanks
With the GOP primary settled I hope/pray it gets a closer race.
I suspect so because if we dont get rid of Brown this time we never will
538 is owned by Disney, isn’t it?
It’s not hard to understand at all, Democrats unite against anything Republican especially when Trump is involved and Republicans are split over Trump
Trump is by far the dominant Republican and his endorsement is key in Republican primaries but works against the candidates in the general election
Just look at 2022 in a number of Senate races Georgia and Pennsylvania plus state races in Arizona are prime examples
Ohio is a sea of red with a few densely populated blue islands. We finally got our voter rolls cleaned up, so will be interesting to see if the urban Democrat fraud machine can drag him back into office this time.
Interesting.
On paper he should be in trouble
Hoping that is the case.
If they split the ticket I will be very upset (and it WOULD be suspicious)
By the way JP, that number is eye-catching
The polls were dead wrong just yesterday then including the author of this one!
They never had this even close,
It should then be ignored and considered a lot closer
The problem with the islands of blue in a sea of red is that area is irrelevant. Only population counts because only people vote and if 70% of the population is in blue cities that vote 80% Democrat then there’s 56% of the vote right there.
An important thing happened tonight in the Senate race: Bernie Moreno got 50.5% of the statewide vote so far against 2 challengers and only 12% of the votes are to be left to be counted.
Bernie Moreno just won the primary with over 50% of the votes, in a state that doesn’t have run offs and has a Governor who only got 41% of the vote statewide during his election win. Furthermore, 1.2 million voters turned out to vote on the Republican side while only 525K showed up to vote for the democrat side. That’s a 2 to 1 differential favoring the Republican side in the state.
These numbers do not reflect the larger numbers to come in the general, but they are an indicator of the mood of the state voters especially when you also know that the same Governor (DeWine) who won with only 41% was out promoting the candidate that came in second (Dolen) with only 33% of the vote.
The Republican voters sent a very clear message to the establishment Republicans in Ohio tonight. They collectively flipped them the bird.
>> I don’t get this.
The Rat is uncontested. The GOP is picking its Primary favorite.
Ask the same question in November.
It will probably tighten since Moreno is now done with the primary.
He runs below the radar. My neighbors like his looks and don’t have a clue that he is as far left as Chuck Schumer.
Moreno needs to start his ad campaign tomorrow and keep it going - define himself before Brown does, and define the issues. Allowing Brown to define Moreno and the issues is a losing formula.
The question is - does Moreno have the funds to do that? Because Brown certainly does.
Because of DeWine, Kasich, etc. FINALLY A REAL REPUBLICAN in MORENO!!
They like his LOOKS??? BEYOND PSTUPID! He looks like a DIRTY HILLBILLY!
