Too much theft by, umm, “entitled”?

Too large of a store for 2 people

When one is checking out people, there is the other one trying to stock merchandise which leaves at least 12-15 shelves including the walls of merchandise unwatched

Except maybe by video

They’ve built 4 in rural Eastern Oregon towns in the last four years.

I’ve surmised that they are leaving high crime urban areas for low crime rural areas.

I wonder if there will be protests by armed robbers, as how shoplifters protested the closing of pharmacies in high crime areas, both demanding the “right to steal”.

It’s my understanding that you fave Family Dollar on one side and Dollar Tree on the other in the same building. Never seen one yet and it sounds a bit strange to me.

Family Dollar opened in Fillmore, Ca. few years ago...There were items costing more than 2 or 3 dollars from the start. I believe there were some items costing 4 or 5 dollars. Needless to say, place closed after about 1 year.

They operate around 16,774 stores!
They expect 2024 sales about $32 billion.
How do you lose money with sales like that?

Total costs exceed revenue.

Dollar Tree has a nice $5 knockoff of the Apple wireless earbuds, charging case (micro USB connector, so you may need to pick up one of those cables while you're there), good battery life, decent sound. Charge them in the case overnight before using. You'll probably have to hunt to find them, or order 20 for $125 (plus shipping) off the website. There are two (soon three) wireless earbuds there, thee item I've used is linked in my tagline.

One of the most numerous items sold at these dollar stores are gift cards. Yes, gift cards. There is a huge wall section near the front of these stores covered in gift cards of every name and type. So you think these poor people are just really generous and like to give gifts to family and friends?
No, the truth is they can buy these gift cards with their welfare cards, snap, WIC etc, and they can trade these gift cards for cash. There is a huge black market where these cards are traded. The real scam of the $ store.
