America last!
The U.S. Senate has cast a contentious vote, advancing a massive $95 billion foreign aid package that supports Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, and Taiwan, but notably omits any provisions for bolstering U.S. border infrastructure.
In a 67-32 cloture vote, the Senate crossed party lines, with several RINO senators joining Democrats to move the foreign aid bill forward.
Republicans who joined Democrats in voting in favor include:
Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
Mitch McConnell (R-KY)
Bill Cassidy (R-LA)
Roger Wicker (R-MS)
Todd Young (R-IN)
Susan Collins (R-ME)
Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV)
John Kennedy (R-LA)
John Thune (R-SD)
Dan Sullivan (R-AK)
Mitt Romney (R-UT)
Joni Ernst (R-IA)
Mike Rounds (R-SD)
Thom Tillis (R-NC)
John Cornyn (R-TX)
Chuck Grassley (R-IA)
Jerry Moran (R-KS)
According to Capitol Hill correspondent Jamie Dupree, the bill is “likely to pass the Senate – maybe by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.”

Well, we gotta hold our noses and vote for them. Do you purists really want the Dems to pass a $150 billion dollar bill?

Someone mentioned the other day Israel provides its citizens free healthcare, free prescription drugs, and free college educations.
Looks like were going to be paying for all kinds of stuff.
Last I heard spending bills were supposed to originate in the house. Of course, that was in old America. This news speaker doesn’t have a hair on his ass if he doesn’t pimp slap them and declare it dead on arrival because it didn’t start in the House.
It did start in the house. Some generic bill was taken from the house, edited and this is the result. This is how this always happens and this has been explained 100s of times.
As to stopping the bill in the House, there clearly is nothing in it to close the border. No reason to advance it in the House. But then, there wasn’t in the Senate, either.
Thank you.
I hope he’s lurking.
Every politician needs to be tarred and feathered....
Our Senators sure hate America.
>>Last I heard spending bills were supposed to originate in the house.
Sadly, incorrect. “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives”. This bill doesn’t raise revenue, it just spends and spends.
Look at Kennedy’s voting record.
All these Rinos are Junior Democrats. The swamp must be drained.
Every one of those items need to be funded and the border needs to be closed as well but the democrats are never going to control the border unless Donald Trump wins the election and has the votes in Congress.
Do people seriously think we should not support Israel and Taiwan??
That much of an edit is not an origination in the house.
In any case, this is nothing but the same old Ukraine bill
That’s not quite exact. It needs to lack periods and have longer run on sentences.
I don’t much care who they are or who hates them, as long as they get it right on this particular subject.
So easy to give away our money. As Rand Paul reminds, it isn’t in the Constitution.
If you have any questions about these GOP votes, just see which big defense contractors have operations in each of those states.
Interesting timing considering Trumps potential SCOTUS VICTORY today
There is a pointlessness to it all. Funding won’t increase the Ukraine population and they are running out of troops.
There is no reason to do this, and frankly, Israel has natural gas flow and doesn’t need the money.
Taiwan is pointless too. Look at the map. If China wants them, China will get them.
But most of all, the GOP said no funding without closing the border, which is 50 million times more important than giving more money away. It didn’t happen. Why is the GOP allowing this?
Looks like were going to be paying for all kinds of stuff.
Socialism actually works, when you have a foreign nation subsidizing it.
Yet many "conservatives" who sneer at European socialism also cheer for more aid to Israel.
We've been subsidizing European Socialism for years, by paying for their defense.
