I just got an update from my daughter in law about Allie. Here is what I heard. This all started with the Flu which attacked Allie's heart which reduced the flow of oxygen to her brain which has caused some level of damage. Allie is on intubation and doctors will remove it today or tomorrow in hopes that she will be able to breath on her own. She is also on dialysis. Allie is 4 years old and in Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She is being feed intravenously. Right now the best scenario has Allie in CHOP for another two months.

I have a Cancer situation and I go to HUP for treatment. My window always faces CHOP and I can see into the rooms of the precious children on certain days. I pray for them and Allie and shed tears.I do know children are very resilient and can overcome so much. Why does this happen to the innocent? I can’t answer that.
Our heavenly father thanks for the news of Jmaroneps37 wife and prayers for Allie that she may heal in the name of Jesus Amen

No, I thought she was ill and getting CHOP treatment for a type of acute leukemia. CHOP here is the medical acronym for the four components in the chemo mix. A very tough regimen.
Obviously, “tough” isn’t being applied to the Hospital here!

And further, I somehow assumed the flu was an additional complication to something else, rathe rather than the entire medical picture.
