Pretty much. A good example is rabies - if you develop clinical symptoms, you're dying - there's no mild case of rabies.
Of course, it spreads via saliva, blood, etc so it's very different from SARS-CoV-2, but it's high mortality rate generally means it's not going to spread like SARS-CoV-2.
