The context I take this in is that John is saying treason, this should lead to the full penalty under the law, as a public hanging is understood a punishment undertaken by the government itself. This I see no threat John made directly towards Brandon. John is only expressing his opinion of Brandon’s treason.
Geeeeez....A half a million people have probably said the same thing or made similar statements. He’s a public figure...and that was not a threat....it notes the penalty for Treason and nothing more.
A threat would be the guy vowing himself to do the deed. That was not the case.
People who vote for or support the impeachment of a sitting president believe he committed a criminal act and should face punishment.
