Imagine walking into a shelter and instantly falling in love with a dog. Now picture that dog, with a heartbreaking past, who has lost faith in humanity due to her struggles. This is the story of a man named Joe Rotunda, who visited a shelter every single day for two months to convince a fearful dog named Alva to let him adopt her. This tale of patience, compassion, and unwavering dedication is a testament to the transformative power of love and the strong bond between humans and animals.

Headline’s a double entendre.
I see what you did there.
Not getting your point. "Every day for two months"? What's the humorous point I'm missing?
I think the guy's great for sticking to it and never giving up on an obviously abused creature deserving so much more from life after surviving her ordeals. The mental recovery is often harder than the physical ones.
Mickel, have you ever thought about picking up an ugly woman at a womens shelter? If you’re persistent enough (2 months worth), you might be sucessful.
Humans ARE animals. We're members of the primate group.
There's five species of primates: Humans, chimpanzees , gorillas, orangutans and Gibbon monkeys(monkeys with tails.) God bless this man for caring for this poor little dog. I often prefer the company of dogs to most humans.
Ok, that was a nice story. But is it only a dog that a man will do this for? What about lonely and scared real women? Are there still men out there who would go to such effort to win a woman’s trust, to gain a life partner? Or do men just give up if they can’t get laid in the first couple dates? I’ve been married a long time now, but I can tell you, I was a scared woman who took awhile to truly trust my man. I’m glad he was taking the long road.
There are a series of YouTube videos of guys sitting in shelter pens with absolutely terrified dogs trying to win them over. This is time well spent since such animals have been ignored/mistreated and ended up in pens so they would simply not starve on the streets.
Win them over and you have a loyal pup for life. Take them home and they will attach to your kids like a leech. And, they will protect their new family like a Momma bear protects her cub.
I think the guy is gay, just a hunch by looking at him!! I am glad he found this dog worth is time and effort the dog has a HUGE SMILE!!
I agree with you 100% !!!
Couldn't help myself.
Unfortunately, a HUGE percentage of women today are only interested in what they can get out of men, and a large number of men have all decided to leave those women to their own devices.
Check out the MGTOW movement. It’s real, it’s sad, and radical feminism made it inevitable.
Sweet story.
So, there are guys are sitting in the pens and the dogs are running loose trying to decide if they want to take a chance on one of these penned humans? They're probably thinking how smart are these humans if they allowed themselves to be penned and how can they take care of me while sitting in that cage.
What a great story
Yep, that is a happy dog!
Wow. Sad. Also potentially dangerous. Like the in-cel in Santa Barbara a few years ago, who killed UC co-eds.
We are all called to risk a bit to get to know other people. These guys are burying their talents instead of finding a way to invest them. Same thing for women who use a sperm bank to get a child because they can’t find a man.
So many lonely, bitter people. Prayers up for them all.
