Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

Good luck.
Sally’s cats are a big white one and a smaller black one, both very entitled. Elen has two orange cats.
I don’t think I have enough room for two cats, but I won’t say “no” if the price is right and they’re bonded! (I was told, “free!” so we’ll see!)
I’m anxious to see if even one helps my BP. Maybe that’s why my BP was always 120/70 when the kids were a lot shorter. We always had a cat!
Your place is pretty small for two cats. Two cats means chasing!
Indeed! Which is why I chose just one. I’ll find out tomorrow, for sure!
We had one cat and a Chinese pug and they were always playing tag. The cat (PV) was bigger than the dog! Fun days!
Some of the studio apartments here have lots of climby-things for their cats.
Bill the Son has climby-things for his cat.
Good morning. Happy Friday Eve.
We got up into the 60s yesterday and are foreguessed to do so again today. But then temps drop into a more seasonal upper forties to lower fifties for a while. When I went to the in-laws’ yesterday I had to go back in and hang up my jacket. It was too warm for the weather. Not bad while it’s lasting.
F-I-L’s problem was that he wasn’t pushing hard enough on the clutch-break to start the mower. When I started it and drove it a bit to show him he seemed surprised that it hadn’t been my fault. I tried a couple of times to tell him that if that pedal was too hard to push, he shouldn’t be riding the mower. It’s falling on deaf ears.
The consolation I have is that he rides it much slower than a comfortable walking pace for me. So even if he hits something he’s unlikely to do any serious damage, even to himself. But I pointed out to him that if something happens and he falls outside it could be a long time before his wife notices and calls for help. But, since nothing bad could ever happen, he’s not concerned.
I guess we’ll spend the summer waiting for a call from one of the helpful neighbors.
Wordle was a shocker today. Wordle game #1000 is tomorrow.

Full face shot! Just what I need for a wake up!
I hope you had a good night, without Jake knocking on your door.
It’s 32° out with wind of 16 mph out of the north, from that massive storm that’s going to dump a few feet of snow north and east of us. We MAY get some snow, but I expect rain, and lots of it.
Happy 23rd FReeper anniversary to me! And happy Pi Day!
It’s very cold in here, so I’m going to go get dressed and put on some leg warmers.
Maybe I’ll plug in the stereo and see if I can get some music. What a fun idea! I’ve only been here seven months and 10 days. Time flies when you’re having fun, and who’s counting, anyway?
Happy Anniversary and Happy Pi Day.
Go grab some Pi.
I still remember my high school history teacher (Coach - all high school history teachers were “Coach” in my day) saying, “Pi are not square. Pi are round. Cornbread are square.”
Thanks! I’m still trying to figure out if joining FR on Pi Day was deliberate or otherwise. I think otherwise, as my sister dared me to do it. For weeks, she dared me to do something besides lurk. So I did.
Yes, indeed. Cornbread are square. Unless you bake it in a skillet!
Congratulations!
Or a cake pan. We like to use a round cake pan.
He’s biting his brother’s tail. I’ve been to a meeting already, and next, I’ll take some yutes to Walmart. Upstairs, they’re dismantling the old set of bunk beds in Kathleen’s room and moving in the spare bed from James’s room.
Frank and Kathleen go new mattresses, and DP decided the bed frame in Kathleen’s room wasn’t sturdy enough to support her anymore.
Wow! Good job!
I’ve used a round cake pan for cornbread before, but that was because I had no square one. I’ll have to sort through my pans soon, and decide what I need and don’t need. Just because I’m not baking as much as usual.
The wind sounds horrible out there! It’s still 32°, so I’m not sure what kind of outer covering I want to use for the drive to Kanab. It’s about an hour away, I think. I was so excited when we got to Kanab in August, as I knew that “home” was right around the corner and down the hill!
Annette already texted me this morning, asking if I still wanted to go. I told her yes, if she felt up to it. Right after her text was one from Walmart, reminding me of my tire appointment tomorrow.
For a week that started out “normal,” this one is shaping up to be pretty busy!
The Lawn Guy has been here three days this week, and part of yesterday and today was spent in getting the sprinkler system ready to go. Tryna keep it cool and green and shady for the summer months. Fruit trees are in bloom all over the valley and the other trees are looking greener. Good signs!!
Time for me to get ready! I’ll let you know if I have found a fur baby, and send pics!
The heat is coming. Just be patient!
