I believe that the war that has just erupted in the Middle East is the biggest news story in decades. This is bigger than the war in Ukraine, the pandemic, 9/11 or the Iraq War. Once Israel sends troops into Gaza, the Great Middle East War will have begun. There is going to be so much death and destruction in the months ahead, and it will not just be limited to the Middle East. There will be violence in the United States and other western nations that support Israel. In fact, I believe that eventually we are going to see an explosion of terrorism in the western world unlike anything we have ever seen before.
Over the past couple of decades, vast numbers of migrants from countries where radical Islam is the dominant worldview have been allowed to relocate to western nations.
Needless to say, many of those migrants are very strong supporters of terror organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah.
What we just witnessed in Israel is a preview of what will eventually happen here.
And that should chill you to the core.
In one town in southern Israel, Hamas terrorists killed “at least 40 babies and kids”, and some of them were actually beheaded…

I agree with your earlier post that if Israel does what they say (and I think they will) Islamic countries may start to disappear. I also think this may be a fulfillment of Psalm 83, in answer to David’s prayer 3000 years ago, that these close-by enemies of Israel would “perish” (vs. 17).
And OBTW, Trump showed the way with terrorist groups like ISIS. Don’t cower to these satanic souls. Crush ‘em. They lose, we win. Game over.

Very unsettling prognosis. One possible positive though is an opportunity to eliminate many many terrorists. Of course killing them breeds more of them. But that’s how it goes.

The real problem is nobody in the 1960s-1970s collations that started the gaza and west bank problems really wants to work together today. Iran is the only nation not to have a fuck around and find out moment outside of battles by proxy. Syria and Egypt are off the board. Gulf states would rather be disneyland with fewer bars.
Seems Hamas did this on their own.

At the end of WW II, the issue of terrorism was considered. The Geneva Conventions decided these feral psychopaths never met criteria of civility requiring protection. They didn’t meet definitions for militia, armed force, or volunteer corps, but were so dissociated from country or culture, so committed to butchery that they best matched Webster’s definition for a virus. They were not insurgents or freedom fighters, and when captured, certainly not prisoners of war. These killers were not members of organized resistance movements carrying arms openly. They carried no distinctive identifier. The Geneva Conventions found no category for defining terrorists and left them in outer darkness and beyond the pale.
The Geneva Convention writers held powerful positions throughout the darkest times of our world. Their words synthesized a brutal, durable morality earned during the bloody deluges of the 20th century. They intended to isolate terrorist forces and allow destruction with any overwhelming furies needed to crush their abominations.
There is much misplaced anxiety for the loss of civilian lives in Gaza. The obvious reading of Articles 28 and 29 of the Fourth Geneva Convention says Hamas is responsible for any civilian deaths in the areas they occupy. Those civilians qualify as Protected Persons within the terrorist’s physical control and cannot be used to render certain points and areas immune from military operations.
