Let this be an object lesson for Americans: Never give up your Second Amendment rights! By now youโve all seen the horrifying images from Israel over the weekend. People being murdered in their homes. Women being pulled out of vehicles by their hair and raped. Men being dragged behind vehicles to their deaths. Spat upon. Executed.
The victims called the police and military, which did not arrive on most of the bloody scenes for two hours or more.
Looking at these images of carnage, many of us have asked, why didnโt the Israelis fight back?
Many of us, myself included, assumed that with Israel being surrounded on all sides by such vicious enemies, and living in such close proximity to them, that the Israelis lived with firearms at the ready in all of their houses.
That assumption would be wrong.

If Israel is serious they need a second amendment style law, one which would be very hard to repeal.
Easy answer. The atheist leftist jews outlawed gun ownership except for the few they approved of.
It could be declared void instantly by the notoriously Leftist Supreme Court. There would be no way to overrule such a decision. Thatโs why rational Israelis support reform of the Supreme Court.

Thanks for those links!
Probably a few reasons.
Thought that security was legitimate.
Lots of them are liberals and probably donโt like guns.
The populace has been disarmed.
Liberal mindset of โitโll never happen hereโโฆ..current state of affairs in the US
Since when did Palestinians become black Africans?
Were these savages recruited?
My father lives in one of the most racially diverse neighborhoods he has ever lived in. Thing is, it is an upper middle class (i.e., all professionals, retired police, retired firefighters, etc.) neighborhood. Nobody gives a damn about race there. They look out for each other, for example if someone goes on vacation.
I’d also estimate at least 90% of the homes are well armed. I’d pity the idiots who try something there — well except I have no pity for scum.
I live in apartment complex. People move in and out all the time so I don’t know my neighbors well. That said, I am armed to the teeth. Also have a monitored and very loud alarm system with those “protected by” decals on all doors. So I’m a hard target, too.
Glad to see Israel is now permitting more citizens to be armed. Sad the term “allowed” even comes into the conversation. Expect in 20 years at most the lefties will get in enough so this happens all over again, though. That’s the pattern.
Thank God for the Second Amendment in the US.
Yup.
Noticed you included a link to one of my posts. Thanks!
Awfully dark for a Palestinian?
Another example of “cultural enrichment” across the borders?
I doubt the Israelis are letting more people be armed. They may throw in a few hundred gun permits for window dressing, but the fact is that there are 1500 dead right now because they couldn’t protect themselves.
Saw some posts here that they are allowing more permits and loosening the restrictions, but you may be correct. That said, Israel does have real elections. A platform of “we will let you be armed to defend yourself” would garner a LOT of votes IMHO.
Because the people in governments generally seem to hate their own people. We see this around the planet.
I once believed Israel was probably an armed camp. In a casual search I learned they made caulifourkneeyuh look like a gun owners paradise.

I think it started 70+ years ago.
Israel trusts its enemies to have guns, however.
Seems pretty screwed up, to me.
