Israel has stupid gun laws and not many have guns.
It does prove that everyone should have RKBA rights because you can’t count on the governments and police to protect you from monsters like this.

I read an article on Israeli gun laws back in 1968. Could not believe how disarmed those people were surrounded by hostile nations so close to them.

The homeowners should have had, at a minimum, A rifle like an AR or AK with optics or without (it did not look like they would need 500 yd shots so no need to know range of landmarks), a home defense shotgun and a pistol like a G17 with adequate mag capacity.
