Twiggy, a.k.a. Dame Lesley Lawson, DBE, was a very unusual 1960’s fashion model, who was born on the 19th of September, 1949, in northwest suburban London to working class parents.
I find her slightly strange and unique mind's thinking quite brilliant.

I thought she was older than me, but she was born two years after me. A feature of her make-up was that she painted bottom eyelashes on, and for a while I copied her style. Then I got married an had kids. There was no time for that frippery anymore.
I had no idea she was still alive.
