Alan Dershowitz was born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York,on September 1, 1938.
He is a committed Democrat who has defended Donald Trump.
Morality underpins his life. As he says: "I love the Bible." and "For most people, the question why be good - as distinguished from merely law abiding - is a simple one. Because God commands it, because the Bible requires it, because good people go to Heaven and bad people go to Hell."
Dershowitz has said: “We know that President Biden urged his attorney general to indict the man who he knew was going to be (his) leading opponent ....... That begins to look like banana republic land. That’s what happens when people in power are afraid of the democratic process. What they do is they seek the indictment and prosecution of the people who are running against them.”
The contemporary weaponisation of the justice system across the western world for political purposes would not happen so easily if the clear vision of Alan Dershowitz ruled in modern courts.

What a load of crap.
To say that Dershowitz “defends” Trump45/47 implies that he does what he does out of some affinity for the man, as if he likes or respects or admires him, but I hardly think this is the case. If and when he defends Trump, it’s strictly a matter of principle because ON THAT OCCASION, in his learned opinion, Trump has come down on the right side of the law.
In which case Dershowitz isn’t defending Trump, he’s defending the law or the Constitution. To say he’s defending Trump is a mischaracterization born of confirmation bias.

When you take a perfectly sensible law and then apply it a political opponent for a political agenda, then you are abusing the law. Not enforcing the law.
You are exactly correct. I disagree with just about everything Dershowitz supports and stands for, but I do respect him for one thing. He does hold the Constitution above just about all else, party, politics etc. For that, I do respect him.
