Anne Boleyn was a beautiful woman who died for an effectively polygamous man, Henry the VIIIth. In 1532, on September the first, he made Anne the Marquess of Pembroke in her own right. Henry created this title for her.
These words attributed to her suggest she was very much a woman who was ready for a man: “Seduce me. Write letters to me. And poems, I love poems. Ravish me with your words. Seduce me.”
Anne married Henry but when he did not have a son by her to be heir to his throne he had her executed.
She spoke these words about her fate: "Good Christian people, I am come hither to die, for according to the law, and by the law I am judged to die, and therefore I will speak nothing against it. I am come hither to accuse no man, nor to speak anything of that, whereof I am accused and condemned to die."
She did not consider herself guilty: "O Death, rock me asleep, bring me to quiet rest, let pass my weary guiltless ghost out of my careful breast."
Henry was troubled by the terrible way he treated her all his life.
This is a great argument against the over concentration of too much power in one man.

“Seduce me. Write letters to me. And poems, I love poems. Ravish me with your words. Seduce me.”
Nonsense. That’s from The Tudors on Showtime.
Spooky...spooky...spooky!
How can it be determined that Anne Boleyn was a beautiful babe ?
I’ve seen several of her portraits. She was just OK.
There aren’t any authenticated contemporary portraits of her. But descriptions of her from people who saw her at the time said she was of middling height, darker complexion than was the fashion, but that her eyes were “black and very beautiful.” It seems like it was less that she was a stunning beauty physically, but was interesting and charming and a consummate courtier. She sang and danced well.
All of those are copies of copies decades if not centuries after her death. There’s a possible pencil sketch by Holbein, but it isn’t certain it’s her.
No proof that I know of. He expressed regret for executing Cromwell, but I don’t think he ever spoke of Anne Boleyn after her death except to possibly threaten his third wife.
No one who saw her during her life commented on any sort of deformity, like webbing or extra fingers. Including the Imperial ambassador, Chapuys, who would have shouted it to the world.
LOL!! He was so troubled, that he got married four more times, and beheaded one of them too.

Thank you. Great song. I had not heard it before this.
Here’s another good version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNyFmOG0ujg
More proof.
A babe !!!!!
Thanks, gov.
“I’ve seen several of her portraits. She was just OK.”
Well, Henry being the king, could have had most any or most ALL the women in England. I don’t think he would have settled for “just OK” unless it was a political marriage for more wealth and power.

Soooo... Think Natalie Wood?
That’s neat. Glad they didn’t choose to show her with green hair and tats.
