'Wow. What a scumbag...'
In the wake of the devastating wildfires that have swept through Hawaii, President Joe Biden’s response has sparked intense backlash, with critics denouncing his apparent lack of empathy for the victims.
The president’s terse “No comment” in response to a question from a reporter has ignited a firestorm of criticism from various quarters.
Justin Sink, a White House correspondent for Bloomberg, reported that during an encounter on Rehoboth Beach, Biden was asked about the rising death toll in Hawaii caused by the raging fires.
Without elaborating or offering condolences, Biden simply responded with a curt “No comment.”
The response drew ire from political figures, media personalities and commentators alike.
Political strategist Steve Guest described the incident as “embarrassing,” while political commentator Stephen Miller questioned Sink’s actions and predicted a potential cover-up by the White House.
Podcast host Matt Walsh went further, labeling the President a “scumbag.” Radio host Erick Erickson drew a comparison between the media’s treatment of President Bush during Hurricane Katrina and their response to Biden’s handling of the wildfires.
Stephen Miller, a former Trump advisor, took to social media to express his astonishment. Fox News guest host Katie Pavlich commented on the President’s lack of compassion, echoing the sentiment shared by many critics.
While Biden refused to elaborate any comments on Sunday, the White House issued a statement on August 9, offering his condolences to the families affected by the wildfires in Maui.
In the press statement, Biden said, “Jill and I send our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones in the wildfires in Maui, and our prayers are with those who have seen their homes, businesses, and communities destroyed.”
Waiting for instructions from Obama....who is buying up the land as we speak.
He didn’t have his notecards or his earpiece in so his handlers couldn’t tell him what to say?
hot pic caught....what fire?
Imagine the firestorm if that was Trump.
Should that be “Dr Jill Biden and I…”? Wretched f***. He had nothing to say because his handlers had neglected to tell
Him what to say
Putting the narrative together to blame it on Climate Change.
Hawaii’s solid blue. Still, POTATUS can’t come up with a little hearts and prayers sumpin’-sumpin’ off the top of his head? Pathetic.
His handlers reduce Traitorjoe’s meds during his frequent vacations to reduce frying what few synapses he has left in his head.
Traitorjoe probably couldn’t have answered what day it is, much less comment on the devastating fires in Hawaii.
Either he’s totally uncaring or he’s been sufficiently trained by his staff to never respond to a question unless you have a scripted answer prepared.
Given the state of his dementia, he’s probably learned that giving answers spontaneously to questions is a recipe for disaster, which is why when given a simple question about the fires in Hawaii, he responded with a “no comment” answer, he doesn’t want to really screw things up by giving an unscripted answer.
Or, it could be as simple as he’s a A-hole with dementia.
that there are any deaths .....asks why???
The embers of the fire were still glowing as Democrats got on tv to try to deflect blame from Democrat politicians.
Given his dementia, he might not even be aware of current events on any given day.
It’s at unguarded times like this that he lets the mask slip and shows the world his real face..................
president MaGoo has no idea where Maui is, much less what happened.
He will be shown a map after his diaper change, bottom powered and a nap.
You are precisely correct.
Hawaii has been blue for decades.
It would be like Chicagoans blaming the Republicans for their misery...........
He’s a A-hole with no heart......................
