Trump Attorney John Lauro to FOX News: “We Will Re-litigate *Every Single Issue* in the 2020 Election”
The Gateway Pundit ^ | August 2, 2023 | Brian Lupo

The indictment of President Trump yesterday by Special Prosecutor Jack Smith in Washington D.C. revolves heavily around the unproven assertion that the 2020 Election was legitimate, free from fraud and that President Trump “knowingly” asserted “baseless claims” of election fraud.

President Trump’s team was constricted immensely by a ridiculously narrow window of just a few weeks to compile data from an obfuscated election system that was bolstered by unprecedented COVID-19 mail-in balloting rules put in place. It was reminiscent of the Wild, Wild West. And still, cases were brought, and quickly dismissed, typically using procedural justifications such as “standing” or “laches” before any evidentiary hearings or discovery was permitted.

The Gateway Pundit has documented numerous examples of unresolved issues and concerns from USPS employees appearing to stuff piles of ballots into drop boxes in Michigan, to two 4am deliveries in the backdoor of the TCF Center in Detroit, more than 20,000 ballots delivered after the deadline in Maricopa County, the mysterious disappearance of Jesse Morgan’s USPS trailer that he claims contained around 250,000 filled out mail-in ballots transported from NJ to PA, and “erroneous code” being found on almost every Georgia county who’s system log files were analyzed. And that’s a few examples with many, many more documented.

..... Snip.....

Now, given the wording and accusations levied in the indictment against President Trump, one of his attorneys, John Lauro, weighed on FOX News with Brett Baier:

The Dems stole the election as soon as they passed the bill during Corona to allow for mail in voting. That was their first priority when corona came here, to pass that bill, because they knew the second that was passed they had the election in the bag.

We can’t prep for 2024 UNTIL we KNOW what the hell they did in 2020, we have to KNOW what we are looking for to secure the elections!!

You don't know what they did?

The sole reason for the SCAM-demic was to make the American people believe the Black Death was sweeping the country and just going out to vote could kill you. This was the justification for the cheat-by-mail-in ballots without any signature verification or way to link them to the original 'voter.' The counting was drawn out over a week until enough mail-ins could be produced to put the Vegetable ahead in the count.

Fast-forward to 2022, and these cheat-by-mail-in ballots were used to defeat Kari Lake.

As long as RINO-controlled state legislatures do nothing about abolishing cheat-by-mail-in ballots, then every election from now right across the board will see the conservative ahead on the night of Election 'Day' only to have the result stolen once the count has been slow-walked for a week with enough mail-ins to put the Democrat in the lead.

Well there’s the prima facie evidence: the count being unprecedentedly stopped simultaneously in five different places with Trump statistically irremediably ahead and the wildly improbable pulling ahead by biden.

Are you planning on digging up Pelosi’s body and Schumer’s to burn them as a rebuke?

As I said, if you trying to ego your fed because you right, nobody is going to care. You could walk up to every single liberalm, with your piece of paper that declares you were right, and liberals will just smile and shrug their shoulders.

If that’s enough for you, ok.

I don’t believe the fight is about proving corruption, but fixing it. Get rid of those boxes and mail in ballots and make ballot harvesting illegal. I don’t think you need to prove any amount of corruption if you are focused on that.

There were objections prior to him reading the electoral votes cast into the record. The evidence was presented, Congress voted and that was that. That's what he was talking about....the matter before him....not any future litigation.

There is a detail record of the times and happenings by and before Congress and Pence on the 6th & 7th which ended with Biden being declared the winner.

There is more than enough evidence to prove election irregularities in AA that would have given Trump the win

Pence had classified docs in his house..he made a deal with Smith, to turn on Trump or get prosecuted

I found it very curious that DOJ quietly announced they were ending their investigation into Pence's possession of classified documents. Then not even 2 days later, Pence announces his candidacy.

They should have left him incommunicado. 75% of the court of public opinion has no idea what frauds actually occurred. Any trial will have Trump defending himself with the truth about those frauds. The Stalinist judge will do everything possible to keep the truth buried.

I’d rather have it done the way it was done in Florida. Until Florida fixed its election system, it was corrupt and Democrats were winning. Once it fixed it, Democrats started losing and the system is secure.

I don’t recall Florida presecuting any corruption around the corruption of the state elections.

That’s my preference, because I think the effort required to prove and prosecute would just be too costly. Just fix it and not worry about the past.

It’s being done because of the charges brought against him yesterday. It opened the door for his attorneys to show he honestly believed there was extensive fraud. You should review those charges and you would understand what his lawyer is talking about.

The judge will be painted into a corner. Either let the evidence of fraud in or run the risk of a dismissal on appeal.

I agree with you. The indictments are about Trump “falsely” accusing the swing states of holding fraudulent elections. This is like a case of slander. If I accuse you of theft and you take me to court for slandering your name, then my defense is to show you really are a thief.

There is more than enough evidence to prove election irregularities in Az that would have given Trump the win in that state. Lots of evidence of fraud in those irregularities

I’m pretty sure the only defense that this judge will allow is for Trump to plead guilty.

The call litigate the 2020 election is exactly the right approach in a criminal case where the defendant is accused of malfeasance related to the 2020 election.

If Trump is charged with a murder that took place in 2020, are you suggesting his lawyers shouldn’t try to prove that the alleged victim was killed by someone else — or may even still be alive?
