WASHINGTON, D.C. — Members of the Upper House shuffled excitedly down the hall on their way to lunch Thursday after hearing Congressional chefs were prepping something special in addition to their usual meal of strained peas and blended cube steak.
"Oooo! I hear it's chocolate pudding!" exclaimed Senator Dianne Feinstein. "I haven't had chocolate smooshsmosh since Otto von Bismarck made his trek across the Delaware and another thing why are the lights in here so bright and where's Dorothy with my whacking stick…."
Senator Mitch McConnell was seen padding toward the cafeteria with a sparkle in his eye after hearing about the addition to the meal, which interns call a "big deal" for the aging senators who look forward to little added treats to their standard lunches.
"I sure do love……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. pudding." Senator McConnell told reporters.
Following lunch, the Senators were entertained by Clarence Wilson and the Do-Wops, a favorite old-timey musical ensemble, before aids helped them back to their offices for afternoon nap-time.
"It warms the heart to see them so excited," Aid Bethany Simpson said. "At their age, it's the little things that make them so happy. It's like watching the world through the eyes of a child…a child who can make laws and determine the direction of the country."
Imagine the traffic jams in the halls of the senate with all those mobility scooters and half blind senators, it must be like bumper cars
How many Senators would be affected if they were forced to retire at 65+?
Term limits. Oy.
Let's just say they wouldn't have a quorum.
Adult Day Care......................
close to the truth as always.
Senate 3 or 4 terms...18-24 years....would likely produce Normal work exit ages...
House...10 terms...20 years...fair enough.

Which is why when people write things like RFK Jr says he would do this or that and ‘I’m voting for him’ it just senseless. Look at what he does. His life. What has he done First place he’s a democrat. He’ll do what they tell him to do.
As of July 27, 2023, 5 senators are in their 80s, 18 are in their 70s, 32 are in their 60s, 30 are in their 50s, 14 are in their 40s, and 1 is in his 30s.
You can’t have any pudding until you eat your meat. How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat your meat?
Strained peas and blended cube steak with chocolate pudding for desert.
Boy Howdy, I will be 81 in September, now that I am old enough, I wonder if maybe I should toss my old slouch hat in the ring.
Kudos, Headmaster.
Hey! Heckler! Leave those meat heads alone!
Almost too true to be funny. Almost...
