The increased coal pollution from Germany shutting down its nuclear power plants may have already killed more people than the Chernobyl and Fukushima disasters combined

The increased coal pollution from Germany shutting down its nuclear power plants may have already killed more people than the Chernobyl and Fukushima disasters combined

In May 2023, the Washington Post wrote:

“Had Germany kept its nuclear plants running from 2010, it could have slashed its use of coal for electricity to 13 percent by now. Today’s figure is 31 percent… Already more lives might have been lost just in Germany because of air pollution from coal power than from all of the world’s nuclear accidents to date, Fukushima and Chernobyl included.”

Wow.

The idiocy of these so-called “environmentalists” never ceases to amaze me.

I’ve never, never heard of any deaths attributed directly to coal plnts’ emissions.

This article is BS.

Considering that there are no known deaths from Chernobyl or Fukishima, other than those who went into the reactors to stop the reactions, the NYT is right. It only takes one person in Germany whose death can be attributed to coal plants to be correct.

This crap about pollution is horsepuckey. C02 is PLANT FOOD. They should create awards for who produces the most plant food. The real ‘greening’ of the Earth is more C02, more plant food!
C’mon Man!

Kind of like “up to” or “as many as” may have....

Up to or as many as 17,000 may have died from Germany’s excess 18% use of coal...

Probably propaganda cover for the vaccine deaths that have plagued people who have died ‘suddenly’ or under ‘strange circumstances’.

If that were the case, everyone in China would be DEAD. And China is building a new coal plant EVERY WEEK.
