Virtually eighty percent of the world’s total species of wild cats are small and medium cats, which can be found in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North, South, and, Central America. While medium-sized wild cats are twice the size of the average house cat, most small wild cats are the size of a house cat.

I’m a huge fan of Pallas’s cats! Love to watch videos and documentaries on them. Wish I could hug one but would probably get shredded 😒
I saw a pic yesterday of a Jaguarmundi. I’d never heard of it before.
.
Dogs have owners, cats have staff.
Not all cats are wild, but all cats think they are!
The smallest feline is a masterpiece.
Leonardo da Vinci
My neighbor keeps chickens (very well- protected) so we get a bobcat (or several) visiting at least weekly to see if the fencing has changed.
About ten years ago I and several others, witnessed a mountain lion roaming around the general area here in eastern Connecticut near the Massachusetts border.
Truth
The article has a picture of each type of cat listed.
Jaguarundi are becoming naturalized in the US
I have seen two in the wild
some were brought to Florida about 100 years ago, repopulated, and can now be seen as far north as Virginia
also they are creeping through Mexico
I thought I saw one in my garden about a month ago, asked around and confirmed that they are indeed at least in southern Arizona
Some of the locals here claim there are small wild cats found here along the Brazos river. I’ve seen the cats they talk about, they are not a Jaguarundi.
I had a phone conversation with an expert on the subject that worked for the state of Texas in the wildlife area.
There are cats larger than house cats living along the Brazos. I’ve seen them and have a couple of less than perfect photo’s.
They are grey but lighter than the one listed in the article. But they have pointed ears and are not as long and low as the Jaguarundi. But they are longer than house cats.

Thank you.
The cats in question might be ocelots, although the Brazos River seems to be well to the east of their habitat.
Thanks for the info.
The Pallas’ cat is my spirit animal.
My pleasure.
For the past 3 weeks we have been nursing on a bottle 2 abandoned kittens. The mama dropped them in my garage on the floor and abandoned them.
They now have eyes open and doing well. And our family female cat (fixed) has adopted the kittens as far as playing with them and grooming their hair and helping clean them up.
And they are now sleeping all night so it is not the 2 hour routine any longer.
We are suckers, but someone will appreciate them once they are weened. Have been raised by humans changes the attitude of young kittens.
I think it is a Russian gray that came from somewhere.
Just not sure.
I heard that a number of years ago, someone over on the four-6’s ranch planted them along the river.
