At the same time, immigration patterns prove that large numbers of wonderful, decent people of all races, ethnicities, and religions would rather live in the United States than in any other country on earth.

Based on these two pieces of information, I propose the following hypothesis: Every country in the world is racist, and out of all of these racist countries, the U.S. is the least racist out of all of them.
That’s not a hypothesis.
That’s a FACT.
No other country in the world has the diversity in the population that the U.S. does, and though we have a lot of problems with racism and other kinds of discrimination, no other country can compare.
It is a fact.
I don’t agree.
I think our country focuses on race more than any other country.
A country obsessively focused on sorting people probably has a bit of an issue.
A country where many of the non-minorities think that they need to babify things in order for the minorities to approach equality and that the non minorities are in charge of handing out equality.

I’m not sure we’re any less racist than Great Britain.
I think a lot of Black servicemen found Britain to be less racist in the 1940s, when they wound up there during World War II. We’re probably about even now, if for somewhat different reasons.
I doubt it. I know someone black British who was shocked at how racist “African Americans” were about white people, even going as far as to call him a traitor for being best friends with a white person back home. They revealed themselves to him because they assumed, being black that he was “one of them”.

I propose the following. Racism does not exist. It is a concept dreamed up in the late 1800s. And suddenly it was everywhere.
What people are is tribal (you are of my tribe, you are familiar and safe) and tend to prefer being safe (I will live around people of my tribe. I know what will set them off. Other people get upset over the weirdest things.)
Babies are not racist, babies know what is unfamiliar could be dangerous and react logically.
I have been saying that for some time.
White people didn’t go to Africa and hunt down black people to sell - they went to African Slave Markets run by black Africans.
Run by Africans as they had been run for centuries.
Here’s the difference - White Americans and White Brits knew trading in humans was evil and we put an end to slavery here then we put an end to slavery in Africa and around the world.
Blacks owe us for that favor... a little gratitude is in order... (and we’re the most diverse country in the world)

The point of my post was that Black men were going to war and possibly to die for the US, while they couldn’t drink from the same water fountain as white people or even vote in many places back home.
They found that a lot of things like that were very different ‘over there’.
I think today we are ONE of the ‘least racist’ countries in the world; but we took our good time to get there.
(And for it’s relatively much smaller population, Britain actually is extremely diverse.)

Isn't it amusing that the current "systemic racism" in the US is being run by primarily white Democrats? Just a thought....
These things happen in the UK.
1. A black man boards a London bus and someone makes “monkey noises.” (Explanation: blacks are supposedly close relatives of monkeys.)
2. A black substitute enters a sporting event and someone throws a banana peel onto the court. (See above for the explanation.)

I occasionally read UK papers.
The NY Times and WaPo and other major US media have reps in the UK but you would never learn about that behavior in their media. Reason: their bosses insist the USA is the most racist nation on Earth.
Racism is a derivative of the second biological imperative of our species: To favor those like ourselves over those not like ourselves.
A quarter of a million years ago, when our ancestors were living on the plains of Africa, being able to recognize at a glance that someone was not like you (one of "them," not one of "us") was advantageous to your survival.
It's hard-wired into our behavior. But the purpose of "civilization" is to suppress the more homicidal of our natural instincts so we can live in ever larger groups without constant warring.
We're all racists, it's just that the more civilized among us have learned to suppress that instinct.
