Lita Grey would have turned 115 years old today.
If she had lived long enough.
She didn't.
But she survived marriage to Charlie Chaplin.

Charlie Chaplin's favorite saying: I walk in the rain so nobody can see my tears.
The way I feel sometimes.

The facts don't fit the narrative above.
Lita Grey was a teenage actress, originally set to star in the film, whose surprise announcement of pregnancy forced Chaplin into marriage. She was 16 and he was 35, meaning Chaplin could have been charged with statutory rape under California law.[168] He therefore arranged a discreet marriage in Mexico on 25 November 1924.[169] They originally met during her childhood and she had previously appeared in his works The Kid and The Idle Class.[170] Their first son, Charles Spencer Chaplin III, was born on 5 May 1925, followed by Sydney Earl Chaplin on 30 March 1926.[171] On 6 July 1925, Chaplin became the first movie star to be featured on a Time magazine cover.[172] It was an unhappy marriage, and Chaplin spent long hours at the studio to avoid seeing his wife.[173] In November 1926, Grey took the children and left the family home.

If it wasn’t helpful or relevant it wasn’t something I wanted to hear. Most of his commentary was just useless snark.

Where is humblegunner? I've read that he was zotted. If I recall properly, they said he called a freeper's wife a whore, or some such.

This post was clearly a case of pimping for blog hits when the link only had one sentence an there was no restriction regarding content.

He made fun of everyone. I will say he pissed me off multiple times. I do hope he is ok and will join the conversation again soon. I truly wish no ill will or health towards him.
I hope you understand my comment was in the spirit of fun for him. Giving him something to “bite back” in jest.

"I've read that he was zotted. If I recall properly, they said he called a freeper's wife a whore, or some such."Thanks. I had the impression that he was in cahoots with Jim to protect the site.
I thought he was amusing but sometimes over the edge. I hope he comes back, toned down a notch.

While he may have been a Commie, they blacklisted Chaplin so as not to offend the Nazis.
Hollywood kissed Hitler’s ass in the 30s.
