Sorry. That was way before YouTube, back when Walton and Jabbar were both still playing. Around 1980 maybe.
Yeah, I laughed my head off when I saw that bit in the movie.
I had a female English Mastiff. She stood about 5’10” (same as me) on her hind legs and her top weight was about 210. She ate two cans of soft food a day and we went through about a 50 lb bag of dog food every couple of weeks. She lived to 11 and a half but our pets live a pretty cushy life. Our vet said that was the oldest mastiff that he had ever seen in his 25 plus years in the business.
She was an extreme alpha and would only behave for me. She was hyper protective of me and my wife and her little brother the bulldog. We had to have her put down in the summer of 2020 because of orthopedic issues. I really miss her at times because she was my dog only. I have a Frenchie and and an english bulldog now that was the runt of the litter. The two of them added together weight wise are barely a third of my Vivian at her playing weight. Small dogs are sure a lot more manageable.
Interesting pet articles but I’ve noticed allen592 rarely responds to anyone posting. I’ve never seen any interaction.
“I was thinking that dog must poop like a horse.”
Horses are vegetarians.
And they poop! A lot!
Can you imagine the drool?
I do respond but not to everyone
He would scare or fool a lot of people if he put a fake lion’s mane on that dog. Many would believe he was walking a lion.
That is a lot of poop to clean up.
We just had to put down our 13 year-old senior adoptee last Saturday. We only had him 15 months after somebody abandoned him. Unlike the subject of this story Mighty only tipped the scale at 18 lbs.
Only thing meaner than a dog with aids is the guy that gave it to it.
Thanks.
Well, the British are rather simple-minded, ... so there’s that.
This AKC seems to have heard of them, as a matter of fact, according to them, the dog is from a group thought to be 5000 years old, not a dog bred by humans. And they can live up to seventeen years.
