That is just it. It is clean slate. A new social security system il surely come up for a vote. That is the great thing about secession - it is new beginning. A wonderful thing.
FL and OH are just the states they haven’t perfect vote fraud in yet. AZ, GA, and other swing states have been stolen by vote fraud. In fact, many “blue” states would be red if not for rigged elections.
Secession would be a worthwhile goal. Trouble is, most of us Americans think very short term, as in weeks or months or fiscal years. A process of secession, if done correctly may take several years of dedicated work.
It can be done, but the effort would need to be lead by a group of self motivated people. They would need to be ready to lose the support of groups that are in opposition to this movement. I can imagine a president like Joe, demanding that agencies such as the FBI, CIA treat pro-secessionists as though these people were potential militia or domestic terrorists.He’s already got M. Garland doing this to some of our private citizens.

The entire mid west and southern states could and should remain intact after forming a new republic. They are not disenfranchising anyone. Just setting up a new federal government.
Come on, Steve, Democrats control most of the big population centers in the U.S. Unless the GOP tries to be competitive in the big cities, the Democrats will continue to control much of the "national conversation". Controlling land mass is irrelevant.
I oppose the idea of dividing by states. So people stuck in a stolen state (say, AZ) would be trapped in commieland?

A new country could raise the retirement age to 75 and suspend public pension payments for 5 years. How many old people are willing to do that? I'd vote for private retirement accounts but that doesn't solve the problem of government dependent old people.

True. The divide isn't between states within them, plus the larger part of the population is barely political at all. Division by counties would create an awful mess and wouldn't solve things, since most people live in counties that already have large numbers of members of both parties. Population exchange and forced repatriation led to mass murder in India and would do the same here. I don't know what the solution is, but we're going to be in the ____ whatever we do, until we can get our ____ together.
Democrats tried it and got their ass whipped in the 19th century. If Republicans try now, the result will be the same. Possibly an even more humiliating defeat for the party that tries to secede now.
