Just when you thought Scarborough might have hit rock bottom in his pro-Biden toadying . . .
Scarborough and Psaki tried to blame the Trump administration for the train derailment and toxic spill in East Palestine, Ohio.
Psaki was first up:
We're here because of all the deregulation of the train industry during the Trump administration.Regulation that would make it safer, that would make trains safer. And make this type of accident we saw last week, prevent this type of accident.
Scarborough piled on:
Let's underline the fact, and just say it very slowly so our friends in, in Trump's orbit can understand it. It was Donald Trump who actually took off some of the safety rules, some of those safety regulations that actually made this, this sort of, of, of train transport more dangerous. They deregulated it. This is on them."
We'll paraphrase Scarborough, and say this very slowly so that Joe and Jen can understand. The pair of them were lying. As the National Review has written [emphasis added]:
"This wasn’t even an example of deregulation; it was merely not adopting an additional regulation. Regardless, even if the rule had been adopted, it would not have applied to the East Palestine train, a fact that the chairwoman of the NTSB has stated."
NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy said on Twitter that the repealed rule was not relevant to the accident. “The ECP braking rule would’ve applied ONLY to HIGH HAZARD FLAMMABLE TRAINS. The train that derailed in East Palestine was a MIXED FREIGHT TRAIN containing only 3 placarded Class 3 flammable liquids cars,” she wrote: “This means even if the rule had gone into effect, this train wouldn’t have had ECP brakes.”

Says the guy who murdered the intern he was banging
Joe Scarborough: lying, shameless, pro-Biden hack.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Leftists——Blame everyone else and make everything into a crisis...rinse, repeat.
Despite the film footage showing that several of the train’s boxcars were on fire 20 miles before it derailed.
Banjo Boy needs new meds.
And he also has a bad side.
Nod to the late great Hunter S. Thompson:
"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench - a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs. There’s also a negative side...."
Hey, Joke: what about that dead intern in your office? You got away with it, didn’t you?
SPJNK.
I despise the media-—I really mean it. I hate these lying scumbags.
However, even worse are the idiots that continue to believe this crap. It’s a special kind of stupid...
Scarborough is a total scumbag.....................and he was my Congresscritter................
Always good to know what the DNC talking point is. He is also claiming he never said the virus came from a bat when he carried that water for 3 years.
Hey Joe, every single item the FDA cleared has some sort of lawsuit against it for personal damage and death. You want to play “tit for tat”?
I’m embarrassed to say he was once a Republican.
Good line!
Sort of reminds me of WC Field’s famous quote:
“I spent half my money on gambling, alcohol, and wild women. The other half I wasted.”
Fields was always ready with a good line. And his writers.
Right! Because train companies make so much money when one of their train derail.
"“That’s who you voted for!” Behar shouted, pointing at the camera. “In that district. Donald Trump, who reduces all safety. He did in those days.”"
Not a dime's worth of difference, imho.
Why give him any coverage? You know he’s lying.
It’s called the big lie and the rule of the big lie is if you get called on it cover it with a bigger lie
The real problem is the vast majority of government employees have no business working. They are useless pieces of excrement. Perhaps if they had extensive experience in the private sector they would understand what a work ethic is and have at least a slight idea how to do something correctly.
