Clara Bow was a babe and sweet and kind while being hot.
The first onscreen "IT" girl.

I agree with the thread title that a girl does not have to be naked to be hot. Clara Bow was pretty, but the “hot” element just isn’t there with her. My idea of hot would be two girls that recently passed, being Raquel Welsh and Stella Stevens.

I can't believe some of the responses on this thread. I was only a kid in the 1970s-80s and I watched my share of silent films on tv in those years. Clara Bow indeed took my breath away, even before puberty. She was wonderful and very attractive in her 1927 movie, "It". She very much had that special something. A good screen presence that grabbed my attention.
From her movie “Three Week-Ends” (1928). Now this is drop dead gorgeous. Even by today's standards.

Totally agree on Raquel and Stella being hot.
Another one of the old-timers who was super hot was Virginia Bell, who was popular in the 1950's. If you've never heard of her, Google and be amazed.
