I published this amateur black comedy video (please click the red link below thwe title above, then click the videopress address. three years ago today. Suicide afflicts men badly but is a taboo subject. Like criticising feminism. No laughing matter? Or too ridiculous for words?

For those who might have trouble with the bogan (redneck) Aussie accent, here is the text:

(Title: A Rat is in the Kitchen)

Jim ‘ere. (subtitle: It’s Jim here.)

I’ve got something to say about modern feminism and what it’s like to be a bloke in Australia. (subtitles: Male victim of endless persecution)

It’s really pretty simple.

Being faced with the reality of the feminism which has got its claws into just about all of us, is a little bit like when you’ve got visitors over and there’s a rat in the kitchen.

Now you don’t really know what to do.

On the one hand if you say: “Oh god, no! There’s a rat in the kitchen.” then you’ve actually drawn their attention to the problem and maybe if you’d just kept your mouth shut, they would never have noticed.

But, if you keep your mouth shut and do nothin’ and then they see there’s a rat, they’re going to be saying, “You bastard. Why didn’t you tell me you had a rat in here? What sort of a friend do you think you are?”

And that’s what it’s like to be a bloke in modern Australia.

It doesn’t matter what you say or what you do, you’re a stupid bastard what doesn’t give a shit about no one.

You can’t win.

I’m not too sure whether Dad was wrong when he took himself orf. (subtitles suicided)

I’m considering me options.

(subttles: Lest We Forget ……… rats are rats.)
