Something is wrong with American men, and everyone can see it.
These failures of men are largely agreed upon by the political right, and even some on the left. Boys do not become men by passively consuming digital sex, social media, and seed oils. They do not become men by entering the rat race, paying into Social Security and living as permanent renters while their own savings amount to future pennies on the present U.S. dollar. Neither do they become men by skirting these problems and living in their parents’ basements, posting inflammatory online missives while remaining safely ensconced.

Exactly. Men are looking at the roles which women desire them to play, look at the cost-vs-benefits of playing that game, and decide “no thanks, not gonna play that”.
Feminists are very critical of traditional roles for women as wives. Why should men fulfill THEIR traditional roles, if it doesn’t result in any current compensating benefit?
A woman who knows how to cook is a rare find anymore.

That is a very “man” thing, weighing costs vs benefits.
Many women live more emotionally and can be swayed by crowd opinion.
They think they can intimidate men into changing their behavior using the same tactics.
It won’t work.
The harder they try the more the “cost vs benefit” goes to “no way, no chance, these women are crazy”.
What most men fully understand is that “do nothing” is always a serious alternative.
Society began it’s decline when women got the vote !
We are living in a gynocracy. There are countless articles critical of men. How often do you see an article critical of women? Even this article (written by a woman) starts out with a laundry list of what’s wrong with men. Even if an article is slightly critical of women, it is balanced by a criticism of men.
Division of “labor” really does work...but women seem too brainwashed these days to get it. I am hoping the Asian woman my grandson is dating is not as brainwashed as most.
If I were young and single today, I would not be interested in marriage. Most have values that are too skewed for my tastes.
One old tip you can share if you wish (applies to both young men and women).

All you ever hear about is how “men need to change” - from women. Yet, if you dared to say “women need to change”, as a man, you’ll get endless insults hurled in your direction. The double standard is completely lost on women.
All you hear is “toxic masculinity”, in other words, men just being men, being hated by “toxic feminists” (a term you never hear said).
Men are attracted to femininity, which is rare to find these days. Young women all think they’re a “10” and go after the same 1% men, then wonder why the men wont commit to them, and then wonder why they’re alone at 30 not wanted by anyone.
I agree men need improving but to ignore what is going on, on both sides, isn’t helpful.
Most young women nowadays are bitchy, narcissistic, feminist sluts with no domestic skills. Why bother?
Men who would like to commit and would likely make good husbands see marriage as (a) impossible (see above); and (b) a trap, because their inured-to-promiscuity wives will simply cheat on them and then destroy them in the divorce settlement. Why expend effort toward a goal that is probably unattainable and either worthless or positively harmful?
Long-term, this is not just bad for society, it's fatal. Birthrates will plummet, and the relatively few children who are born will be born to single mothers.
I have two sons and two daughters, with an age range from 20 to 32. Zero marriages and zero grandchildren so far. Only the oldest daughter (22) dates, but not seriously as far as I can tell. I haven't totally lost hope for grandchildren yet, but the outlook is very grim.
Feminism isn't just bad. It's a cancer.
...and they wonder why there are mail-order brides.
What better motivation for men to improve themselves until they are in that top quintile?
And of course more than 20% of men can find a life partner and settle into a worthy and manly life.
I married a Chinese woman. She is extremely conservative, and a very wonderful wife. She IS the very definition of "stubborn".
I met her while doing business in Shanghai.
I have a brother and a sister. Among the three of us we have seven children. Age range from 33 to 40. Only two of the seven children in this next generation of our family are married. There are zero grandchildren so far.
Many friends of mine with adult children tell similar stories,,in which the next generation are not interested in marriage, and they’re not interested in having children.
Surveys for decades have shown the majority of young American men stating a firm preference for a wife who earns a good income ahead of a stay at home mother.
Unfortunately they have been just as warped in their materialistic desires as have young women.
