The House Republican leadership has rejected 6 out of the 8 House Freedom Caucus rules changes that have been considered so far, Just the News has learned.

The amendments that failed included a requirement that spending bills must pass before the fiscal year officially begins on Oct. 1. If not, other legislation would not be able to be considered on the floor. An amendment that would ensure all members of the Republican Conference are able to participate in conference meetings was rejected, and a rule change to allow one member, with the support of 25 others, to request having one Republican staffer admitted to conference meetings also failed.

The outstanding amendments still up for consideration include the reimplementation of the Holman Rule, which would strip the salaries of federal employees who are not cooperating with existing law.

I keep saying that the GOP is NOT the answer. We need to face the facts and turn away from those Assistant Democrats and form a new American First Party. Good Grief!

form a new American First Party

With mail-in-cheating and rank-smell-voting a conservative will not win an election at the Federal level. The GOP is dead to me. Start a new party and make the GOPe the Whigs. We will get them next time is naive and ignorant.

Chip Roy gave a helluva speech on the floor about how a small group of people in a room upstairs are the only ones allowed to participate in law making and how most are afraid to vote against a bill with a nice sounding name. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq2vpd00euA

Does anyone here have any idea how actually to build a third party? Practical workable strategy, anyone?

Hey McCarthy, don’t you need those votes to become Speaker of the House?

Not smart to p#so off the people you need.

But then again, nobody ever accused the GOPe of being smart.

I've seen this move before. First time it was called "The Contract With America" which won them a historic victory and then they refused to implement and marginalized it's champions. The second time it was called "The Tea Party" which won them a historic victory and then they refused to implement it and marginalized it's champions. Then it was called Trump who won them a historic victory and they refused to work with him. Now Trumps legacy of MAGA ... same same same except they got in front of the historic victory and made sure it was a middling one. Unexpected move and very clever from their point of view.

There's an unmistakeable pattern here over 30 years. Nobody with open eyes could miss it.

I believe that it can be done. How? I don’t know but things cannot continue as they are.

Trump would have to start one.

He'd pull supporters from both sides of the Uniparty.

It might work, it might not, but if he tried it would cause an earthquake.

It would have to be very soon, though.

That’s something I just don’t get, this obsession with control in Washington D.C. and what seems to be ignoring state and local government control. I like Donald Trump. I like Ron DeSantis, but I don’t get this obsession I’ve the control of the Federal government. Clearly Articles 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Constitution are being ignored, and trying to give control of Congrtand the office of the presidency to one party or another every 2, or 4 years isn’t working. Maybe it’s time to put more effort in regaining control of the states themselves, and keep chipping at the federal level on the side.

We have speculated that McCarthy cut a deal with the rats to get the House because we know they could have easily stolen a few more seats. I think we can stop speculating.
