Billionaire Citadel Investment hedge fund CEO Ken Griffin (pictured above, center) is one of the top purchasers of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for a 2024 presidential bid. In a recent article for Politico, Mr. Griffin openly explains what he expects from his investment in DeSantis:
WASHINGTON DC – […] He has given nearly $60 million to federal Republican candidates and campaigns this election cycle. That puts Griffin behind just liberal billionaire George Soros, who’s given more than $128 million to Democrats, and Richard Uihlein, who aligns himself with far-right candidates and organizations, at about $62 million.
[…] While he’s supporting one of this cycle’s biggest culture warriors in DeSantis, Griffin said most hot-button issues — abortion rights, battles over sex education and LGBTQ rights — don’t define his interests. He wants to improve the diversity of the GOP and blunt the vein of populism that has complicated the party’s relationship with the corporate world — two things he’s consulted with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy about.

Same here. Trump '24 - DeSantis '28
It sounds like to me that all this guy is after is to stir up trouble within the republican party in hopes of doing the Media-Dem Party’s work for them by eliminating Trump.
Hopefully, De Santis will come to his senses and tell this a$$hat to shove it.
this looks like an attempt by a liberal to insert a wedge into the republican party. the fact that he is public about what he is doing only makes sense if it is an attempt to create a division in the party.
>> Trump desperately tried to build the wall but McConnell and Paul Ryan defied him funding for it in the first two years. Then Obama and Bush judges thew up roadblocks. It was astonishing how he got 400 miles built. <<
See, that’s exactly the point: it’s not that wall wasn’t built. Most of it was. A lot more than 400 miles. It’s just that thanks to Trump relying on orders, the wall is completely irrelevant. People surrender to the checkpoints and demand their right to live here.
>> All that matters is the part mentioning Citadel investments Ken Griffin. Is it true or is it not true? If it is a lie and this Griffin guy never said any of this, then that is reprehensible. If it is true, then people should be aware of it and decide if that is something that is okay for them. <<
Ken Griffin is a supporter who explained that he supports DeSantis for his economic policies. All the nonsense about purchasing DeSantis and what he expects for his investment is the invention of theconservativetreehouse.
Know what? Trump has “investors,” too. He got $45 million from Las Vegas Sands. On top of $45 from “Adelson clinic for drug abuse and treatment.” You think Las Vegas Sands owner Sheldon Adelson backs Trump for his pro-life positions? Ooh... $10.6 million from Disney. Why don’t you ask why someone who claims to have $8 billion needed to take money from Disney. You think Ken Griffin is bad?

Dahm, you bubble butt Rubio and Canadian Cruz cultists come out on cue like cockroaches during elections.
The media has been short-stroking the "Trump vs. DeSantis" narrative for a couple of months now, and an unfortunately all-too-large crowd here on FR is buying it. Don't. It's false goods.
And now this disinformation has metastasized into "DeSantis is an inside-man". Because he takes big money from big donors. So did Trump. So what? That's SOP. But "DeSantis is part of the system", they cry, "but Trump is a total outsider." Well, that last part is certainly true, but the first part isn't. DeSantis took a very different growth track than Trump, commissioned Naval JAG officer, lawyer, and now administrator. But one has only to look at Governor DeSantis' accomplishments here in Florida over the last four years -- if he was an "insider", he sure has a funny way of implementing that particular agenda. Deeds, not words, folks.
Both men can and should be supported -- it's a false dichotomy to think it's one or the other, one that I'm sure the DNC would love to see grow every larger and fester in the heart of GOP conservatives. Trump and DeSantis differ greatly in their personalities, style, approach and abilities. Trump is a hard-charger, skilled businessman and obviously dedicated to the very real concept of American exceptionalism. But he also has a tendency to be thin-skinned on occasion, and impulsive, like his unfortunate off-the-cuff "DeSanctimonous" crack the other day that caused so much sturm und drang. That sure has caused some heated 'discussions' here on FR and elsewhere, and I'm sure that every leftist apparatchik seeing that was smiling ear to ear.
DeSantis has a much more moderate temper and methodical approach to things. But he has never failed to hand the baiting, hateful leftist press their arse whenever they toss a loaded question his way. And DeSantis, being part of "the system" does know how it works. He knows the law -- being a lawyer. And he has also demonstrated a very powerful ability to surround himself with people of like mind and staunch loyalty. One will note how much legislation he had gotten passed over the last few years, as well as other executive actions, with no leaks, no back-stabbing, because his team on the GOP side are all focused on the same goals.
Both men are good men, and much more like than unlike, particularly when it comes to what they seek to accomplish -- to Make America Great Again.
Eyes on the goal, people. Never lose track of what is at stake here. The future of our nation is bigger than men, bigger than all of us. Now on to Victory, and thanks for reading.
A most excellent post, Joe B. Thank you.
“This comes after O’Dea announced he would be against a Trump 2024 White House bid. O’Dea is hoping to unseat Democrat Senator Michael Bennet (D-Colorado).”

Trump 2024, DeSantis 2028 and 2032 would be a wonderful for the USA.
Surprise, surprise, surprise! Raise your hand if you hadn’t already figured out that Ron has sold his soul to the company store.
Trump wants to save America from the NWO cabal and DeSantis just wants to be President.
Amen.
Another Democrat trying to sow dissent in conservative ranks unmasked.
You're right. The headline alone was insulting to both men and to all of us...
For me it's - - - Trump '24 DeSantis '28
I can't remember, but weren't you the person who was going to vote for Abrams rather than Kemp? (I apologize if I have the wrong person)
Yeh, you have the wrong person. And you need to understand what is at work here. Going forward the establishment is desperate to keep Trump from another term so they are going to try to minimize him and push DeSantis. The MSM including Fox Snooze will get behind it and don’t even think they won’t. They are all going to play Pied Piper and lead the sheeple away from Trump. Its already starting. Don’t be that sheep.
I think I understand it pretty well
Hopefully you do because many on FR do not.
DeSantis isn’t owned by anyone.
This is appalling propaganda.
The libel against DeSantis needs to stop.
