Wasn’t there a female celebrity last year that it came out that she was dead then they all said she wasn’t dead and then she was dead again?

I think what people mean when they say he was ‘the last’ of the great rockers...’ is the early pioneers, like Little Richard, Chuck Berry level... so someone who became known around 1956 or earlier (Chuck Berry’s first recording of Johnny B. Goode was 1949) and was a seminal influence....

Wasn’t it Jerry Lee Lewis who ruined a very fine concert grand piano? I remember how angry classical concert aficionados were.

The Weekly World News tracked Elvis for years until he finally died for real.

They did the same with JFK. I remember a National Enquirer story from around ‘74 where they were saying there was a secret room at the Parkland Hospital in Dallas that Jackie O’ was seen going in and out of from time to time... supposedly a near brain dead JFK was being kept alive in there on machines.

Dion is still around as is Chubby Checker and Pat Boone. Gary US Bonds is still performing. That’s about it for the 50’s, then sadly we’re into the 60’s. Frankie Valli, most of the Rolling Stones, Paul and Ringo, and many others are still going.
