JP Morgan Chase & Co reportedly canceled the account of a religious nonprofit organization for unexplained reasons, and said it would only reconsider the decision if the group provided its donor list, and a list of political candidates it intended to support.
The National Committee for Religious Freedom (NCRF) launched on January 18, 2022 “to defend religious freedom for all Americans and all their religious communities by supporting political candidates at the local, state, and national levels—regardless of party affiliation—who support the free exercise of religion,” according to its website.
“Religious freedom is a cornerstone of America’s constitutional democracy and was at the heart of America’s founding,” said CCRF founder Sam Brownback in January. “We are creating the National Committee for Religious Freedom to uphold this fundamental right, so revered by our Founders, by providing a critically needed political response to the ongoing attacks, in law and culture, on America’s First Freedom. ”
In a post at Restoring America, Brownback, a former Republican U.S. senator and governor from Kansas, said that CCRF is “diverse” and “bipartisan,” and represents “people from every faith and walk of life. Its Advisory Board, he noted, “includes members who are Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Latter-Day Saints, and Muslim.”

Tortious interference.
I’d bet the ranch that the DOJ is behind this. While I have no love for Chase, we’ve seen this scrip before with Facebook and Twitter and the fascist government goons.
Any bank that behaves like this should lose its charter. These are no longer banks, but political organizations.
J.P. Morgan has (had) lots of money.
Discussed before. Customer opened account and either didn’t provide or misrepresented critical KYC and AML info. I wouldn’t open the account either. Blame Boosh and the Patriot Act.
Probably related to the ESG — police state malfeasance. This is actual fascism at work— The state, and corporations doing what the state wants, without regard for the law or the people. Chase management needs to be sanitized.
Wow…..
Agreed.
WTH is this????
I’m going to take a possibly wrong take on this.
They didn’t do the paperwork right or follow the legal rules for filing and got told no by the bank.
Just a take on this, sometimes these political organizations fail to do something they should have intentionally to gain publicity to better leverage a more “aware” (asleep) donor base.
Am I the only one who doesn't know what those mean?
If everyone would sell stock in companies like this, or pull 401k/403b cash outta funds owned by the likes of JP Morgan!!
It’d be a start to send a msg!
No
No.
I don’t see the benefit of using the large national banks like Chase and Bank of America, et. al.
They’re expensive and restrictive.
Perhaps if one has to do large commercial transactions, but there must be regional alternatives that aren’t as infected with wokeism.
I have no problem with discriminating against clients for any reason at all. We all should have the right of free association— to do business with who we want. The problem is , and the Left knows this, it is a one way street. They can freely discriminate against the right, but the instant we do it we are sued for violation of the civil rights act, because they will claim disparate impact on blacks because they are more likely to be Democrats or Communists. The only remedy to this is to repeal the Civil Rights Act and restore the right of free association, but no one will touch that. So they will continue to do this to us, and we can do nothing in return.
Indeed!
Know your customer/anti-money laundering. I refused to open a business account for a someone who wouldn’t tell me who his vendors were located. Told him to find another bank or banker. I don’t have time to go in front of a SEC/FINRA/Bank Secrecy Act arbitration.
“ I’d bet the ranch that the DOJ is behind this”
Very possible that they are being pressured by the regime. They didn’t do anything like this when Trump was president. What changed.
