It is getting harder and harder to escape the leftist woke agenda. In the latest example of this, medical students at the University of Minnesota were forced to take an SJW woke oath that replaced the traditional Hippocratic Oath.
Imagine climbing Mount Everest and there is a guard 10 feet from the summit who says "you must take this oath before I will let you pass". You are going to say WTF, and take the oath.
Quick story. As a chemistry major, I had to take at least two semesters of Organic Chemistry. Well, on my first test I scored a 45%. I’m looking at my returned paper, and thinking maybe I should switch majors to something I could handle.
Then the professor put the grade scale on the board. My 45% was the second-highest score in a class of maybe 100 students. It was an A+.
"I swear by almighty God this sacred oath: I will render unconditional obedience to the Fuehrer of the German Reich and people, Adolf Hitler, Supreme Commander of the Wehrmacht, and, as a brave soldier, I will be ready at any time to stake my life for this oath."
Yeah, that’s the fun part of being in the real sciences, huh?

I’d like to see someone refuse the oath, then sue the school/state over having authority to deny an earned degree on that basis. Risky, but needs to be done.
Physics is a prerequisite, and calculus is a prerequisite for physics. Actually, the role of quantum mechanics is now being explored in several biological processes.
I guess I don’t have a problem with it per se, but its concerning that we’re getting treatment from people that need the decaf version.

Oaths mean absolutely nothing now. In today's world, you can take an oath and violate it with impunity. Just look at the Oath for people elected to the Senate, and the Presidential one contains the same pieces:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."
My Ass. Soiled toilet paper has more meaning than that oath now.
I wouldn't let these people touch an injured rat.
These people should be horsewhipped.
They cannot make you take that oath.
That is what is so disturbing for me. If you just held it by your side, looking up at the ceiling, or even turned your back (which is what I would do) you would still graduate.
I will eat my hat if that is somehow required to get your degree. They all did it fully and willingly, which nauseates me.

My degree was in Chemistry, and I ended up having a double major in Nuclear Medicine, so for Chemistry, I needed to take Physical and Organic Chemistry to pass.
I struggled mightily, I can tell you, and none of it, not one bit of it came easily to me, but I learned enough to pass and get an A or a B.
Here, nearly forty years later, I have never once had to use any of that again in my field, but I struggled to get past it, nearly had a nervous breakdown trying to understand it, but I did it well enough to pass.
Organic Chemistry was hard for me, and part of it was an atrocious professor, a Leftist woman who the entire class went to the Dean about, and were basically told to shove it.
But as hard as it was for me, Physical Chemistry was a LOT harder to grasp, and I had a GREAT professor, but...I just wasn’t naturally sharp enough to grasp it.
Funny. Out of the blue, my brother asked me last night what calculus was about and I boiled it down after much hemming and hawing to something about rates of change. That’s what happens when you refuse to even let something enter your mind for decades! All that organic chemistry and physics is covered with dust and rotting in remote parts of my brain somewhere...:)

Very true. But quite unfortunately, evil can still triumph when good men sacrifice all. I see it as a risk/reward kind of thing. If you are going to roll the dice, you should have a decent prospect for success.
