This is evil coercion. It is a a very challenging road to reach medical school. A lot of sacrifices have been made financial and social to get to this point in your life. This is the last step. If they asked you to believe in Grays and Reptilians, you would say "yes'.
Imagine climbing Mount Everest and there is a guard 10 feet from the summit who says "you must take this oath before I will let you pass". You are going to say WTF, and take the oath.

I’d like to see someone refuse the oath, then sue the school/state over having authority to deny an earned degree on that basis. Risky, but needs to be done.

They cannot make you take that oath.
That is what is so disturbing for me. If you just held it by your side, looking up at the ceiling, or even turned your back (which is what I would do) you would still graduate.
I will eat my hat if that is somehow required to get your degree. They all did it fully and willingly, which nauseates me.
