A new body cam footage released by Arizona authorities shows a male suspect being shot to death after pointing a handgun at a police dog’s head. The incident occurred on August 25 in Tucson, Arizona.
Suicide by cop.
Sadly I bet defense of an animals life is not justified homicide.
Might be an exception in AZ, but this came up in a CHL class and the answer depends on where you are.
Well, bye.
I’d happily off anyone who threatened my dog or cat.
Yes!! Thank you!!
A K-9 is not an "animal."
A K-9 is a police officer.
Defense of a police officer is justified homicide.
Okay, who was a witness so we can charge the cop?
Anyone?
Hello?
Crowd: We dinseenuffin.
//////////
Any other outcome and millions will “disagree.”
Hillary skates. Obama skates. Etc. But this cop gets charged?
No more tolerance for our worthless system of “justice.”
Game over.
It’s about time more of the trash be taken out.
“Justice reform” is an unmitigated disaster.
There is only one sure way to prevent career criminals and recidivism.
BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Repeat...that DOG is a POLICE OFFICER.
and yet, when they’re left in hot cars to die by their “partner”, they’re just dogs...
That stuff didn’t happen before car A/C.
I think we should ban it.
It’s a disgrace how millions of K-9s are left to die in police cars every year, isn’t it?
Who in the heck writes these headlines?
It isn’t, but bringing a gun into play while cops are arresting you is. Scratch one turd.
Right there with you. Member of the family.
There are Lord dogs and there are peasant dogs. You get killed or the death penalty if you threaten the life or kill a Lord dog. OTOH police officers routinely kill family dogs, even that are clearly not threats, with complete impunity.
I do believe that varies from state to state.
Although there was a “defense of police animals” law recently passed at the federal level.
Note, I’m not saying the cop was wrong, morally. He may be in legal jeopardy, however. That’s not the same thing.
Emotionally yes, legally no. You don’t get the death penalty for killing a police dog.
But a violent felon, confronted by cops, pulls a gun and brings it into play... he’s dead. And while he aimed at the dog, his muzzle covered three cops as he brandished it and he wasn’t slowing down. I don’t think he saw the dog till it got him, he was pulling that gun to shoot it out with the cops.
Glad he’s no longer a menace.
Righteous kill!
