This is a general heads up concerning the ATF. The ATF has been showing up at peoples homes asking them to turn in things like solvent cleaners, and forced reset triggers.
The feds usually don't have a warrant but are asking people to "voluntarily" hand over the items. How do the feds know which homes to go to? Some people have suggested that the common denominator is that many of these people purchased items from GunBroker.com. GunBroker is like ebay for guns and gun related items. It's 100% legal and follows all state and federal laws.
So how are the feds targeting gunbroker clients? Some speculate that the feds are acting as the seller, some speculate that gunbroker or some vendors with gunbroker are cooperating with the feds. We really don't know.
But we do know that people who bought certain items from gunbroker have been visited by the feds. I'm putting this out as a simple heads up to the Freeper community.
And don’t forget, the a/c in your truck still has the ozone killing refrigerant. You’re getting the Roger Stone Treatment for that.
Which truck? The ‘59 Chevy or the ‘49 Chevy? :)
My mistake, neither have AC BUT you still use LEADED GAS! We’re talking Tesla, I mean, Electric Chair for TWO leaded gas trucks.
BTW, do you have use an additive for them?
I'm not clicking on that link until it gets the Humblegunner Seal of Approval.
If I wanted leaded gas I’d have to use an additive for them. D#@m it! But, no, I don’t.
‘59 has hardened valves and seats. The ‘49 is actually in pieces in the garage. Since 1990. But it would run if I put it back together. With a spare motor that would also fire right up.
EMP-proof transportation!!! That might be illegal soon too.
Which reminds me, going back to suppressors, ... exhaust pipes, seat cushion insulation, lots of washers, crankcase draft pipes, hose clamps, rubber heater hoses, ... cripes! I might as well just turn myself in.
#$&\@#$!!!
ATF = F-TROOP
***Well, there is a solvent patch catcher that looks like a 2 liter pop bottle that you attach to the end of your muzzle.***
Back in the mid 1980s someone found that a two liter soda pop bottle, when attached to the end of some firearms, acts very well as a sound suppressor for several shots.
I remember reading about it in either SWAT, FIREPOWER or Survival Weapons and Tactics(Different from SWAT) magazines at that time. Someone even made an attachment for the end of your firearm to screw on a soda pop bottle
I bet that is what the ATF is looking for, as no sooner than it went on the market the ATF banned it.
wish I had all those magazines back now.
And do you honestly think that GunBroker -- which, mind you, is a for-profit commercial enterprise, not an organization based on 2AS/RKBA crusading -- will risk jail by refusing to honor the warrant?
Yup. I knew he got turned loose and now the law suit. Feds?
I went there and entered Gunbroker.com in the search box. It wouldn’t come up, and I had to totally close that window to get back here, it wouldn’t let me back out.
Weird.
I have a boxcutter on my tool shelf.
I’m doomed…
Same here. Exactly the same! :)
And now look at us, we're MAGA semi-fascists.
I guess that lovable little fuzzball really was the most dangerous man in America! lol
wish I had all those magazines back now.
= = =
Did they have more than 10 pages?
Odd maybe if you just go to the front page of the website and search from there.
When I lookup other retailer websites, I don’t see the registrant of the domain being redacted. For Gunbroker.com everything is redacted except the name of the domain host. Even the mailing address is Redacted except it does list Georgia. There’s not even a random PO Box listed.
Yeah, Rush was amazing!
Yes you are correct, i may be a little dyslexic.
It’s a fairly common transposition. I just thought it was kind of funny given your screen name.
Yes! Those were real reading magazines you took out a subscription for! One even told how to build your own sub-machine gun at home! Ah, the 1980s! 1960s was better!
I get your 10 page magazine mention.
***I was conservative before I knew about conservatism,****
I knew I was conservative at the age of 17(1964) when LBJ lied about “I will not send troops to SE Asia to fight a war SE Asian boys should be fighting.” Then he did. Never trusted a democrat since.
